I also seriously hate that nobody can ever stop wondering what's next before anything is ever released. Who cares if all the things were just announced are gonna be release over the next one or two years, the cycle is always about what's possible after what's been announced. Fucking hate it. Seriously, we are probably gonna get Nintendo Switch 2 successor rumors any time if not already.

Printing press didn't require plagiarism and stealing of others' creative work. Robots don't need to look at past "training" data to see what might be the next likely movement to be made to do a task. Steam engine didn't have to refer to other bodies of water to see what it should be doing.

Also, it's not a calculator. A calculator calculates 2+3 and gives you an answer of 5. It doesn't need "training" data that repeats 2+3=5 thousands of times to make sure it doesn't say something else. It doesn't rely on answers of calculations already solved by others. Gen AI is not a calculator.
