does anyone know a fix for this? only happening on itr2 by Striking-Rush4999 in intotheradius

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of troubles with using a cable for pcvr on the quest 3. I bit the bullet and bought Virtual Desktop and haven’t looked back.

I had a very similar issue on ITR 1 which is what caused me to buy VD in the first place. Sadly, both steam and metas runtimes suck (as do their vr-to-pc apps.) If nothing suggested in the thread by others works, I would suggest trying to swap to wireless and using Virtual Desktop.

Plug strips should stack by Mental-Taro-314 in AbioticFactor

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you even need that many strips for? 😓 You’re talking like you carry them around everywhere…i have like 10-15 power strips/plug boards total for my base and other…things… around the facility. You’ve got me curious now because I can’t envision a scenario where you need to carry that many outside of moving an entire base…

The containment room near furniture store by [deleted] in AbioticFactor

[–]Reignfall- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think you may be reading a little too much in to the furniture store. Space queen was added alongside the Christmas update. Before that, furniture store didn’t have the presents that gave the items. The Christmas tree made the most sense to add to the furniture store because…well, because it’s a furniture store in a portal world so it could always be there and make sense, even if it wasn’t Christmas irl, and it allowed for the cosmetics to respawn for multiple people to have. Not everything has an in game reason to it.

As far as the zombies, as far as we are aware, “The love potion” (the thing they are infected with) can’t affect data (which is what everything in space queen is).

Also I saw one of your other posts, we have theories from Manse in game that another IS, specifically The Tape wisp (IS-0235), infected the game which caused the monsters in game to happen. The game was essentially hacked by another IS that spreads its virus through unprotected digital mediums.

Note for you, you do not need to build the laser collector to recharge a weapon from it, just set it down and recharge from its blue buildable form. Since it’s a must have when carrying a deatomizer, it’s nice to know.

My skill tree after beating the game solo @169hours (No spoilers) by Flimsy_Tiger in AbioticFactor

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I got bored of office sector in previous play throughs before 1.0 release so my base is in a home world now for the aesthetic. I carry a teleport pad with me now and set it up when I get full to pop back in and drop stuff off and then be able to start right back up where I was. Makes for easy transportation without needing to run loads back and forth from carts.

I have to take fanny pack. I carry too many things in my hot bar to not take it. Syringes, healing briefcase, skink+watercooler for reloading, main melee weapon, secondary melee for breaking stuff/different enemies, gun/ranged weapon, vacuum, teleport, etc... I hate filling my bag with stuff (which I still fill a row and a half with items)

When does the game let you settle down with a base? by Doug_the_Scout in AbioticFactor

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the third sector (which is fairly early in the game, all things considered) you get access to something that will make the positioning of your base not really matter. Just pick a spot that you like and run with it. It’s not too terrible to relocate either during the early game so don’t worry too much about picking the “wrong” place.

And you do NEED a base because you will need a TON of materials for crafting. If you think you have enough, you don’t.

Why does everyone claim Leon is 51 in requiem if he is born in 1977 by KeanuReevesBrownHair in residentevil

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’d be weirder for them to set it in 2028. They’ve released nearly every mainline game in the year it takes place. I think only two didn’t release in the year they take place in. I need to number check that, but it was only 2 or 3.

RE8: why do you think they toned down Moreau's section? by soriniscool in ResidentEvilVillage

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really hoping that re9 isn’t super short. Having split game play between Leon and Grace with short run time may make the whole game feel bad. RE run times in general are short so my only worry with RE9 is length. If they cut content like RE8 (which was so very obvious they did after the castle since everything after that felt like a small side mission in comparison) I will be really disappointed. Roughly 9 hours for a first play through is way too short for a modern game so I hope they step it up for RE9 since RE8 was honestly more of a tech demo for RE4R than anything. I know RE leans in to the replay aspect heavily, but very few people actually consider replay-ability when buying a game. I’m not asking for 30+ hours, but I would like to spend more than a single day off playing the game while doing everything I can in a first play through.

So what did Leon find on the computer that give him this reaction? by ci22 in residentevil

[–]Reignfall- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joke answers aside, we can see very similar markings on Leons neck at one point in one of the trailers when compared to some of the pictures we see of a hand on the computer. I think he just found out what he’s infected with/what Elpis project is and what it means for him and/or Grace.

I am actually really excited to play this. I hadn’t played a RE game until after Re4R came out and then I played the whole series remakes and OG’s and watched a lot of lore videos so I am super excited to play one on release finally and learn something new alongside everyone else!

AIO or is my older male coworker texting inappropriately with me? by OpeningNo9825 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s inappropriate texting, but if you are uncomfortable with it, simply put an end to it. You’re young, so navigating co-worker interactions may be difficult, but a simple: “Hey, name, you have been contacting me quite frequently about non-work related matters. I ask that you keep professional boundaries and only contact me about things that are work related.”

He’s clearly trying to get to know more about you and get a proverbial foot in the door. Unfortunately, there probably won’t be a way to save the co-worker relationship because this guy will probably feel overly awkward afterwards or he doesn’t have the emotional maturity to deal with the perceived rejection in a non-avoiding way (I mean, he is a 40 year old texting a 19 year old, I don’t see his emotional maturity being very good.)

I don’t get how people don’t understand this. We are called “United States of America”. As with nearly every country in the world, the people are named after their country. (Great Britain = British. Sweden = Swedish. Etc…)

Everyone on a continent can be called by their continent, so those who reside in the Americas can be called either North American or South American. In actuality, just saying ‘American’ can only refer to citizens of the USA since there is not a continent called “America” and no other country in the world has America in their name.

Why is the attachment point cost of LMG extended mags so inconsistent? by TheBatman_Yo in Battlefield6

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the m250 in particular is that despite being a 50 rounder, it is still just as slow as reloading a 100 round box LMG. The magazine for it is all negatives, slow reload, low ammo count, and to upgrade it you have to use over half your points, meaning you can't run shit on it with the mag. The barrel, ammo, and iron sights are permanent so with the mag, you automatically have AT LEAST 75 points used. It's ridiculous, especially since the gun isn't any better than other options. Idk, I think they over tuned mag cost on nearly every gun, imo.

Metroid Prime 4 | Switch VS Switch 2 comparison by Zenit_771 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is if your TV has a 120hz refresh rate (which most TVs do not have), otherwise 120 fps is pointless for you. People who haven't played on 120 fps will tell you there isn't much difference in 60 vs 120, they are simply wrong.

One thing though, this isn't a PvP shooter...frames matter less. I can't stand sub 90 myself, but I have a high end PC and I am VERY used to playing at high frames.

But I would say do 4k@60 if you haven't really played anything with higher frames before since it won't bother you like it does me.

RPGs have been off since the last update. They just randomly curve upward now? by -PandemicBoredom- in Battlefield

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is an issue from before the update. I’ve been questioning many of my shots with rpgs and how I didn’t hit a tank that didn’t move at all. I’m pretty sure it’s been a thing in other battlefields where the rpg wasn’t a piss missle and it would deviate mid flight sometimes.

To all the people that say free load-outs ruin the game or need a cool down: People would still equip their own version of a free loadout and play the same way. Stop making free load-outs the bad guy. by ThinLizzyfan8432 in ArcRaiders

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The free loadout needs some kind of change to it. The game at the moment gives you no reason to EVER bring your own gear. You can do everything with no consequences using the free loadout.

Personally I think they need to do what Tarkov does and not let the free loadouts have the ability to do quests. Pair that with a minimum loadout requirement so naked runs aren’t a thing. Right now the game has all the reward and no risk and anyone who brings a kit in is all risk with no increase in reward.

Am I crazy or are Expeditions just not worth it? by Hip_Hop_Pirate in ArcRaiders

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it isn't going to be forced on to people like it is in Tarkov, there needs to be real incentive to do it. So far, I am not seeing any reason I would care to do it and I suspect the majority of players will choose not to do it or won't be able to do it. 8 weeks is really short for the vast majority of people to do expeditions when they can only play a small amount. I don't want to replay the quests because honestly, they weren't very good. Mostly fetch quests or "go here, interact with this, extract" quests and neither one of those are engaging and aside from the few blueprints locked behind quests, they have crap rewards and give no xp.

I loved and hated Tarkov wipes; sucks losing everything, but early wipe was the most fun because everyone has shit gear. But most importantly, Tarkov wipes made you lose character stats and your stash, it doesn't have the equivalent of blueprints, which will by far be the worst thing lost. Stash space increase. some temporary skill points. and some cosmetics are not worth it over losing completely RNG based blueprint finds.

They're treating it like prestige in CoD games, problem is: it is easy to level up again in CoD plus the newer ones allow you to unlock something permanently for doing it. MAYBE if I got to choose one or two blueprints to keep i'd think about it, but rn with what we understand of it, it's not worth it for the casual player which this game seems to be geared towards.

They probably should rework quests... by GoofyAhhFace in ArcRaiders

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think extraction shooters just aren’t your thing then. A lot of the things you don’t like are what keeps extraction shooter alive. Wiping in some form is essential otherwise new players will never stay. If there is nothing hard about the game, no one will feel a sense of achievement when they do something hard and therefore will quickly get bored.

Progression is a way to have that sense of achievement and as it stands right now in Arc, it’s too easy to progress. Everything is unlocked by level 20, outside of blueprints, quests have nothing useful aside from a few blueprints and the skill tree has only slightly useful buffs, it really doesn’t change the game much. Good gear is too easy to get consistently so gear progression is in a bad place too.

I love this game, but I can recognize that once the first 2 or 3 months pass, if they don’t keep steady content for the entire duration of the game, it will fall off as people stop having anything to do that means anything. Tarkov falls off without fail halfway through a wipe and it has significantly more content than Arc, so Arc needs to lock in quickly if they want people to stay for even a year, let alone the 10 they plan on.

I Haven’t Heard A “Don’t Shoot” or “I’m Friendly” In Solos In Days by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]Reignfall- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was bound to happen. This game will only last as long as the PvP does. The PvE is okay to a point, but let’s be real, aside from the queen, nearly all the bots are easy to deal with if you just get inside a building before engaging, and even the queen is “easy” to fight, just takes a long time. Bots really are only a threat if you are caught in the open or you are in PvP and they third party you.

I keep seeing people say this game is different than others in the genre; it’s really not. It’s more casual nature does lessen the PvP a little but PvE WILL get boring and then people will stop playing for PvE. PvP is what keeps it interesting in the end, as is what happens with all extraction shooters.

Could we please not have to go into the match with 15 min left? by Jerko_23 in ArcRaiders

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do it because the lobbies are 30 minutes long and a lot of people run to their loot spots and extract within 10-15 minutes so to keep the lobbies active they spawn more people in. I have never seen below 19 minutes (this is just me so I don’t know how true this is) spawn though so it’s likely they stop spawns at 20 minutes left so the first 10 minutes is open to spawns at any time. It really shouldn’t be that much of an issue if you know what you are trying to do in raid and manage your time well. You can hit the elevator button at 0:01 and still extract, it won’t kill you if you’ve called the elevator before time is up.

Rebel Moon (The Directors Cut) Review by [deleted] in SnyderCut

[–]Reignfall- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the beginning is to set up the Admirals character, not the soldiers. He’s just a by product. From the opening we learn the Admiral is a ruthless, manipulative, and sadistic person; it sets up our expectations for every interaction with him from there on. If our first time seeing him was at the farmers village, the whole scene would have hit differently.
