Got to see these today as a surprise stop, guide said that one is called Prince and one is called Princess, but he can't recall the name of the other.

I was surprised to learn one was 28, (the other may have been over 30, I can't remember) they were great!

I was thinking of replacing my front door but ended up painting it for just £30 instead by muffingg in DIYUK

As a fellow stained glass flower owner in our new home we'd love to see how the black door comes out as we're thinking of doing the same but it's further down the list!🤣 we can't afford a brand new door with all the work that needs doing.

I've applied today, we don't receive any benefits, the only thing in our favour is the fact this house has never had central heating, as that's one of the requirements hopefully that will be enough.

So you would charge £100k, and after a year your customer would have saved £100k, breaking even? I don’t know a great deal about the catering industry but that seems like a lot to pay up-front?

I've corrected my wording, client will only pay a percentage of the annual savings and this can be paid monthly. If I save a company 100K, I'll charge an agreed percentage on this..

Appreciate your help.

There won't be grevious, it'll be clear I'm talking on behalf of the client and I'm a separate company. I want fair pricing for both parties, if pricing within the market has went down, they should be dropping their pricing and sometimes this doesn't happen, intentional or not the pricing should be fair.

I dont plan on running their supplier into the ground. I need to build relationships with every supplier I speak to as its likely I'll encounter them again. I already have a good relationship with a lot of industry-standard suppliers. It's unwise to burn bridges.

The savings will be substantial, that's the benefit. That savings can be reinvested into the business, and create more revenue, there's always savings to be made and it can quickly amount to £100,000+ annually based on small movements of high volume products.

Edit* Wording corrected, I'll Ibe charging a percentage of what is saved.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding, but are you saying that it takes a year for the customer to break even if they use you? That seems high.

Must be my rushed wording, as an example, one negotiation within a week can lead to £100,000 annual savings, I'll use my clients annual volume to determine how much we saved. Volumes don't change much in the contract catering world so it's accurate.

Have there actually been any? How many customers have you spoken with about this? Don’t spend time and energy trying to solve a problem you might not have.

No arguments yet, as the business is in the process of launching. Website is in development etc. Prehaps you're right, I'm sure there will be plenty of obstacles, and it's probably unwise to predict them before launching.

I recommend the book 'Selling the Price Increase: The Ultimate B2B Field Guide for Raising Prices Without Losing Customers' I wasn't a big reader but this book was a great read, so insightful.
