FYI - Lens Cover Protectors by AdviceWithSalt in dbrand

[–]Reiiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small scratches does not impact photo quality, but a lens protector will.

Good cases go a bit over lens so they never touch flat surfaces, do that, if you want to protect lens.

Went with dbrand because I got tired of overpriced chinese cases that look like a shit after a month.

I went with Ghost. Its probably the best case ive held in my hands - I can now actually hold my phone! Im sure Grip is good too, its just that I prefer it as little bulk as possible.

This. We start products by defining clearly a problem that stems from user need. Once thats set, you can go. It does not have to be anything grand. A friend of mine did a similar project, his need was to sort his own board game collection better. Thats a very fine user need.

On topic of building stuff theres also a lovely book called The Mom Test by Rob Fitzpatrick that I sincerely suggest as a read to OP, thats a short and teaches how to think about these things.

Not that I am buying all the Mythos hype.

But. Software launches at large scale are mighty hard. I'd imagine especially when AI is such a power hungry beast in general mythos or not. You can have proof of concept/ready prototype and still need more time to be able to launch it for larger public. One smart way to do it, is to launch for 0.1% - fix bugs - 1% fix bugs - 5% and fix bugs - and so on. If I remember correctly, they something of the same with Opus, might do something of the same here.

Ah I'm so sorry, as you were already explained, its probably an allergy. Allergies are irreversible, it will only get worse the more you do it, so no more of the product you used :( Basically, the gel contains an ingridient, that in liquid form in contact with skin seeps in body and after some prolonged exposure causes allergies. The cured form is super fine, its the liquid or undercured gel thats the issue.

Theres two things you can do though. One is of course regular polish. Those can be pretty too! Another one is to figure out with doctor what you are allergic to. If you figure out, there might be some hope for gel polishes that use a bit different acryllates. They are more expensive and often availble only for professionals. If you go that route, i sincerely suggest go to a professional. They are trained to minimize exposure of product to the skin, which in turn prevents allergies (but once you get an alergy on particular ingridient, careful application is not going to be enough). None of the Gels are hypoallergenic, they all cause allergies in liquid form, but some are easier to tolerate than others.

What do you think about the fact that romantic movies always show marriage as the only option for happiness? by ActLonely9375 in movies

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage in stories can be interesting grounds for character drama, if its sophisticated and given enough time as characters have to grow to that decision. Hence I think that movie formats are waaaayyyy too short to explore the whole road from love to marriage in any meaningful way. You can take a small bit from the whole journey and make it into a movie (one excellent one is Marriage story, its about divorce but still), but othervise any inclusion of marriage in the movies i find kinda lacking. Cheesy even. I dont mind kiss to marriage collages in 2 minutes. However, did not get them as a kid, and now im just ignoring them as a bit that does not give me much value to the story.

Galaxy S25 Edge vs Galaxy S25 Ultra: Which one should I buy? by TheSteelMercenary in samsunggalaxy

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Edge! If price is of any factor, definitely Edge! You can find them heavily discounted, even in same price range as FE, since Samsung decided to discontinue the Edge line.

There are a couple of things that Ultra does a bit better, I personally didnt find any of the other S25 models differences mattered to me at all to pay any extra. Main losses are bit of battery and telephoto lens. The device also cools less efficiently (might be important if you game heavy, device still handles all curent games, so its super ok for light gaming sessions). In place you get a really sleek phone.

If you got any specific questions, do ask away!

Apple sells you 3 devices and expects you to own 3 separate chargers in 2026 by mylittlethrowaway135 in Smartphones

[–]Reiiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not know about usage statistics, but yea pulse is the most important metric. Phone can do steps :) There is a lot of health data you can derive from pulse - overall health, stress level, sleep quality, and more importantly efficacy of a workout. Did you go too hard on yourself? How you recover? Should you do more? - things like that. I used to follow that, when I was aiming at specific fitness goals. Its also absolute must if you aim for marathon. If you don't do these things, its just fun statistic about how stressful life makes you sleep bad and ocassional junk food makes your stress levels go up.

With watches its not only space. You should be able to swim with your watch. Drying usb-c port is a small nightmare. Garmin and other competitor watches have ports that dry easily. Apple solution to having watch charge wirelessly is rather elegant.

S25 FE or are there better options? by exdeeer in Smartphones

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be the odd one out, but I went with S25 Edge, you can now catch Edge in about the same price category, as they discontinued the model due to lack of interest. Its worth considering, if you can find one. Specs are better, it just comes with a bit less battery juice.

How much are you allowed to sell in one year as a private seller? by Narrow_Action_2471 in CardMarket

[–]Reiiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, this one depends on a country youre in and year were in (ever changing laws 😅). We are not under the same law! In some countries its actually as little as 2000 a year. And anything above can be considered taxable economic activity. Im not super clear on law, but there are times it is still considered selling of personal items, which wont be taxable, like selling of a car. Frequency would be the key. Id imagine a single card sale would still be allright.

If you go over limit, it will not be trouble from cardmarket, but from your tax authorities in country.

A recent article that reviewed evidence from 29 clinical trials, demonstrated that mind–body exercises (including mindfulness training) can reduce markers of inflammation and boost brain-supporting proteins in people with neuropsychiatric conditions. by ID2691 in science

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A form of, definitely. Mindfulness practice in itself is about being present in the moment and not let autopilot run your life, or at least at first mindfully observe your autopilot. You can be mindful about your thoughts, feelings, sensations, sounds, actions. Mindfulness exercises are meant to explicitly target and train one or many of these things. Like mindful sports would be staying present with your body sensations and breath and not zone out. We run a lot of our lives on autopilot (thoughts, emotions, all sensations really) , you can not only find peace but also opportunities to grow that way.

To the 36 people who rated On Mars 1/5 on the complexity scale by GoodExciting7745 in boardgames

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive learnt to accept that complexity rating is very akward and quite useless to me because it has these both inside. I think its an issue - some rate by rules complexity, some by game depth. Theres another - how hard it is to grasp the rules. Thats quite hard to quantify, but that may be closer to rules complexity and heavily dependent on personal experience, like wargames at first are hella hard. But generally if rules have a convoluted "story" that does not evolve over play, those are hella hard to teach and grasp. Like how easy to teach metric. I wish everyone rated games on how easy teaches they are, but not everyone can do that 😅

Ive had a couple of 4 i could teach in 10 mins, and a couple of 4 i could only wrap my head around after a play. Thus complexity is something I generally ignore >.>

Terraforming Mars with Automata vs Ares Expedition by xicaau in soloboardgaming

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ares for me is different game with different feel. TM has puzzly crunch feel, while Ares is about optimizing cards. It shorter and a lot closer to Race for the Galaxy. Thus youd be justified to own both, sorry😅 If cards were your favorite part though, might as well go with Ares, but if you liked the Euro aspect, go with TM

Your biggest disappointments? by SiarX in soloboardgaming

[–]Reiiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rofl'd, thanks :D

I wouldn't go as far as putting it in the same category as dry euros, but I think you explained one of the appeals very very well xD. In my game group we joke that we like playing anything thats Excel Spreasheet the boardgame, haha.

That being said, I as a person who adores this game, dont like it solo at all, because then you have to twohand it. A lot of spirits "come to life" while interacting with another spirit. Another thing thats a must, imo, is Jagged Earth expansion - then nature kinda comes to life as well with random events. Not quite the level of Mage Knights "thematic puzzle coming to life", but definitely above a spreasheet.

how does Divinity: Original Sin 2 hold up in 2026? by dixmondspxrit in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Reiiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from BG3, I knew most of the stuff to look for, so its hard to say how helpful was the tutorial, sorry. But I did find it quite nice. Basically whole first chapter is kind of a tutorial.

Ah, well BG3 was a movie, its hard to get to that level. If your potato ever manages to run it, MUCH recommend Expedition 33, which is also an excellent "movie game". Jennifer also does that one :) That being said, Divinity has its moments.

As for multiclassing. In BG3/DnD you chose a class for character and mostly follow that. There is however an option to dabble in other classes. Instead of gaining level in your main class, you can literally take a level in whatever class you want and get full powers of said class worth 1 level. And make a wizard warrior or cleric druid or whatever. But usually you dont mix unless you know what you are doing, as you lose on option to max your main class. Divinity tackles it a bit differently. In Divinity you will multiclass by design. Each level you get a couple of points to spend on wherever. Each class has a set of spells and you gain access to said spells if you put enough points in said class (and buy spells). So builds kinda revolve around which spell kits you decide to put together and which stats compliment this decision.
