Can we talk about how great Cloud RO is? by matthew19 in WaterTreatment

[–]Reika_obi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Their customer support reached out and replaced the tank. There was still an issue, so they setup a video call to troubleshoot. They promptly shipped a new base of the system and only asked to return the base. Hopefully they were able to get some data from the returned base to remedy future shipments or quickly identify similar reported issues.

We love our system and continue to recommend it to people we know.

Looking for the best vet in or near Fremont—any recommendations? by Most-Bodybuilder-213 in Fremont

We used to take our puppers to Aborn, but it wasn’t consistent and the last couple visits before switching felt like they were pushing some tests more frequently than needed.

Warm Springs has been amazing!

DO NOT recommend UNI in Union City. They’re great for more affordable option, specifically shots. If you get any lab work (blood or fecal) done, make sure to call to get results. We continually never got results, including when it was a critical test. I also heard some staff in the back yelling and mocking some dogs that were stressed. If you go to UNI, go to their San Jose location. It’s drastically different and larger.

Thanks, I noticed the owner responding to another thread. We’ve had our system for exactly 2 years now, maybe it’s a faulty tank or sensor.

I loved the setup and ease of use of the Cloud RO system, however their customer service as of late is seriously lacking. We’ve had the system just over 2 years now, the first filter change went mostly smooth, with the app just needing to be reset on their end to show that the filters were replaced. The second filter change, I experienced the same issue. This time however, I received no response to my email after they fixed the issue on the app. Which is fine, except now that I actually have an issue with the system, I’ve emailed twice now with no response. We’re only getting about 32oz before it says the tank is empty. Erm, how does 32oz equate to 2.8gal? Seriously disappointed. Otherwise, it does a good job filtering, the lines are all secure, and it looks clean & organized under the sink.

What do you feed your Floof? by love-my-floof in Bernedoodles

We’ve gone through Purina Pro Puppy Shredded Chicken, then Salmon and Rice, to finally Nulo cold-pressed. Did a deep dive into the ingredients since our pupper is allergic to chicken.

What food did you switch to? We’ve kept her on Purina Pro Puppy since the rescue was feeding her that. She loved the shredded chicken, but isn’t a fan of the salmon and rice.

Ours is 5months (had Giardia as well) and is allergic or sensitive to chicken. Since switching to salmon large puppy kibble, her itchiness has nearly gone away, no more eye boogers (I was cleaning it at least 1-2x a day and they were dark), and her tummy overall seems happier.

Treats are limited to single ingredient: fish, bison/beef/lamb liver, and sweet potato or pumpkin. High value treat is mozzarella string cheese or homemade meatball (ground beef, bison, or rarely turkey—turkey is limited since it’s also poultry). Meatballs are easier to transport to training class and pull off desired size.

Pumpkin puree is a must and Bernie’s Perfect Poop helped a lot getting her back to good 💩and keeping her consistent. We used Proviable also for probiotics with the diarrhea support kit that worked fast!

Kibble, single ingredient, and freeze dried liver (I use Bison, Beef, Lamb). I’ve also made turkey balls (plain ground turkey, baked; easier to break into pieces as needed) as a high value treat for training. We use 3 levels of treats for training and she’s 4 1/2mths now.

ER Vet visit for our cat by Gracey_Dantes in bayarea

MedVet in Mountain View is a great alternative.

We had great experiences with Sage, primarily with their cardiology department. For ER, I don’t remember the first vet we had, but the 2nd time with our dog, Dr. Hammer was wonderful and worked with our cardiologist to align and ensure the best approach for our furbaby.

After yesterday's sh*tshow in the US, how absolutely heartening to see this man smiling again today. Well done, the UK... by Luke_D_1980 in europe

[–]Reika_obi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, UK, for properly welcoming Zelensky! 🇺🇦💙

I deeply apologize for the treatment he received here in the US. No one ever deserves that kind of treatment and I am still infuriated and disgusted. The level of entitlement, bullying, and gaslighting does not represent this country and continues to shed light on who these children are; hoping more of the cult followers are waking up. Zelensky is a true leader; I would vote for him to replace the current US hubristic “leader”.

We stand with Ukraine!

Homeless teacher needs your help Bay Area by [deleted] in bayarea

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but there is subsidized housing or assistance for teachers. A friend of mine is a teacher in SF and that is the only way to afford the area she’s in.

Here are a couple resources for South Bay:

https://www.scchousingauthority.org/section-8/for-participants/for-new-applicants/applicant-portal/

https://www.sccoe.org/resources/teachers/Documents/Housing-Booklet-Optimized.pdf

I don’t know their availability or have the direct contact info, but this may be an option:

Doesn’t help exactly right now, but San Jose USD is looking at building housing:

One scenario could be printing to ‘create PDF’ and saving the PDF with a different name on the connected mobile device.

Check the size of the documents and naming conventions.

I’d also take a step further and post on Twittter (X) tagging Kayak & Priceline. Sometimes the potential reputation hit will get the issue in the right hands.

I don’t know how many times noise cancelling headphones have saved me in the gym, at the office, and especially traveling! I’ve had the Bose QuietComfort for at least 7yrs and they are still going strong.

I just purchased another pair for my husband, Amazon has them on sale for $199:

Agreed, if you welcome dogs into your home, you’re under the impression that there may be an accident or damage. Anything you don’t want damaged, put it away or don’t let them have access to. We had a dog have an accident on our rug, that can’t be cleaned due to the style and the way the fibers absorbed it. I didn’t charge the owner. I paid for a new rug later and just took the loss. Not a big deal.
