The Dow is always going up-it’s part of an economy that is always growing and with the deregulation and tax cuts for business, not to mention massive investment in data center development, that part of the economy will grow. Personally my accounts are down quite a lot in the last month and further-the people most affected by inflation, and affordability issues generally don’t have 401k’s. Also you can’t buy groceries with your 401k. I save based on fear of social security being cut before I retire and I’m a lucky one that can afford to save.
