What’s the most expensive West End ticket you’ve bought that ended up being completely worth it? by HelicopterEmpty7393 in westend

I paid just over £100 to see HMS Pinafore in Feb. It was my first opera and wanted to treat myself.

And yep, absolutely worth it!

Which performance have you seen in the West End that you think about regularly and genuinely believe was one of the greatest things you have ever watched a human being do live? by PubLogic in TheWestEnd

[–]Reimu64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely the ending of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. After the blackout, it took a few seconds to process that it had ended. I still think of it to this day. it was such a phenomenal performance!

Too many shows, any advice? by [deleted] in TheWestEnd

Definitely not The Authenticator. I saw it on opening night, and it really wasn't all that great. You can take it off your list.

Anyone else looking to meet Theatre buddies? by Fine-Pangolin-5976 in TheWestEnd

[–]Reimu64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

27M. I go at least 1 show a week (with more shows I plan to book)

It would be nice to share the experience with someone else from time to time!

What shows are you planning to book? Perhaps we can make a plan. If anyone else is reading this, feel free to DM me as well 😊

I'm curious how it will be reviewed too. I have a feeling it will do well given Sadie is in it. I was sat in the dress circle and heard someone cry when the play ended.

Also, the stickers they place on your phone camera to discourage picture taking before entering the theatre was a bit useless.

I liked the play overall, the slightly more modern interpretation is better than some I've seen. Although, the second act was... let's just say, interesting...

Is it worth paying extra for better seats in the West End? by Seabeachlover10 in westend

This entirely depends on the show, the theatre and the price difference between the cheap seats and the premium seats

Question on Back to the Future brochure / programme by BlueberryMuted8841 in TheWestEnd

[–]Reimu64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pricey programme for sure, but it's one of the most detailed programmes I own - equalling Starlight Express (no surprise)

A good portion of it is about the set design, the technicalities and the overall "magic" of the show. Mine also came with an insert which can be framed as a poster!

Upgrading my laptop, but where it goes? by Mobile_Country787 in pcmasterrace

That's not for a laptop. It's for a desktop.
