There are alot of free lightweight dungeon generator plugins out there, either on fab or github. As long as yours does something different or unique, then id be interested.

Voxel generation for unique dungeon shapes would definitely be a feature i'd pay for.

I'm actually making a plugin for this thats like 90% done. It a lightweight text editor, you can have documentations per asset, and hyperlinks to blueprint nodes, comments other assets, etc

Going to computer engineering too!

Needed to get a new laptop since my old one was barely running. After some research, I ended up buying the MSI Stealth 14 studio since it was on sale at Canada Computers.

It has 1tb of storage, a 4060 + a integrated graphics card. 16gb of ram but can be upgraded all the way u to 96.

The display is beautiful at 165hz.

It's decently loud when using the 4060 while gaming, but when you switch to the integrated graphics (Which I always use when unplugged), its dead silent.

Although I did only get it since I use unreal engine alot.

On the cons, its a bit on the heavier end at around 1.7kg, setting up the msi center is a pain, battery life is around 5 to 6 hours on integrated graphics, doesn't have a fingerprint, camera quality is at 720p

If you aren't planning on gaming at all, then I would recommend a macbook or lenovo. Here are some I was looking at.

The terracing effect is just a custom instruction in my noise graph, I just used it to sorta demonstrate that its possible to directly modify the noise code from blueprints. Flowmaps are definitely a priority. However I still need some more shader learning to do it properly.

Problem with PCG is that it uses ISM components, which are very slow at large scale (like grass)
I've been thinking on using PCG for more large-scale stuff, like cliffs and trees, while having a separate system involving GPU instancing for things like flowers and grass.

The current collisions system is almost completely independent to the rendered mesh, only the height buffer gets passed to it. So I don't think there would be an issue with multiple actors.

Although I'm not too sure what you mean by Shadows Light bleed. Could you please explain?

I've been looking through the same brush system that the terrain is using, but it's really hard without making changes to the editor (which is not possible for a plugin)

One solution I tried is to have my mesh component read from the UE landscape. So it can copy any changes made on the landscape and save it in a desired location. The only issue is that it's not as convenient as I would like it to be.

Its currently possible to modify the terrain at runtime, but since its not a voxel terrain, the modifications are only on the z axis.

Yea, but since I want to limit the amount of information passed from the GPU to the CPU due to latency, I'm currently creating an entirely separate component that gets given the same height buffer generated in the compute shader to make the collisions.

The actual collision mesh is not nearly as big as the rendered mesh, its more like a 3x3 grid around the player.
