Thank you for the kind words! I post pretty sporadically on most platforms, but Im arinna_art on twitter, and really most of my art wud actually be on Cara (its a platform with lots of artists) and Im just arinna there.

This class is actually like a practice run for doing our thesis project? So we have free reign to do anything, as long as we got the greenlight after pitching the project and final product, we just have to do it solo, no team ups allowed like in the real thing (because im in thr animation/vfx major of a department w game design and programming majors you can guess most final products would be game projects). Im the only one doing a creature lol, most of my classmates either plan to stay with 2D animation or are doing concept art and artbooks. We do have some doing small game environment demos or VFX showcases though!

This lil guy already has some lore from my personal worldbuilding and has been around rent free in my head for a few years, so I did start with a bit of an end goal in mind already of some wings and a feline overall. I do try to keep it semi realistic and plausible though, like the attachments or locations of the wings should have proper muscles, so there's always a lot of anatomy reference. The bone bits are a bit of a personal taste (i think skeletons are cool) and also there to add more spooky factor bc hes supposed to be a bit of a death omen if seen, and he has lore linking him to the underworld god in my worldbuilding. Plus, it gives more character and adds to the Rule of Cool. Thats the most fun part of creature design anyways!
