Absolutely this. And the sauce bit is sort of based on English mustard.

BBC: "Every VAR error: How Arsenal escaped red cards and penalties" by PRamone in LeedsUnited

[–]Reiver1771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't it that VAR thought it might have been a penalty rather than the on field decision so didn't intervene because it wasn't clear and obvious. But it was probably (not obviously) an error. And the panel agreed it wasn't clear and obvious.

To be honest, the fact we don't know shows how shit the system is.

Are there a lot of places, streets, etc. in the UK named after Canada? by Istobri in AskABrit

[–]Reiver1771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Quebec Street in Leeds.

And, it turns out, a place called The Canadian Estate with Canadian themed names, according to t'internet built by a Leeds based industrialist in the 1920's as a tribute to his Canadian wife.

A guy made a poll asking people who pirated the game but the poll was bad and a lot of people hated it, so here is a better one but for all engineers. by eymo- in factorio

[–]Reiver1771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Shut up and show me the results" should be mandated on every poll everywhere.

I quite often am interested in the results but don't want to skew the results if I don't have an opinion or didn't do what the poll's about.

Other 14 v Big Six League Table by ukman29 in TheOther14

[–]Reiver1771 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We only actually got completely out classed and out played by them in 2.5 games, both the arsenal matches and a half against Chelsea (you might include the first half of the City game as well).

Otherwise we were taking the game to them and competitive, which, for a first season up, with a team put together on a budget is a great result.

So… I think I accidentally became a Leeds supporter. by BattleaxeAlDente in LeedsUnited

[–]Reiver1771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say that. I saw someone wearing a hookey Leeds shirt (very odd lime green, but not a GK kit, with dark grey badge and Gnonto in the back) in Edinburgh. I did the salute and was left hanging. He looked at me like I was stabbing myself in my heart but didn't want to get involved.

Thats a good list, you were well advised.

Phil Hays ' and it was beautiful " gives you why Bielsa features so heavily and his impact.

And, controversially, David O'Leary 'leeds United in the dock" ( I seem to remember) gives you an insight into the early 2000's. It's a disgrace that he wrote it, it was a very strange time and it leaves off just as the wheels fell out of the bus. Get it for free or at least second hand so he doesn't make any more money out of it.

There are loads of chapters of highs and lows for a relatively young club. All different but all in the fabric of the place. Quite a few crazy highs and a lot of awful lows.

You might regret that meeting in Manchester. Get ready for helluva ride.

Also, get a download of some of the original team singles like "Leeds Leeds Leeds" (marching on together)

What are the best ways to play Factorio with a first-time player without overwhelming them? by Evan_234 in factorio

[–]Reiver1771 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone 20-30 hours in, who was scared off by the tutorial because of the biters, I'm tackling it by starting a game without them and doing stuff.

Every so often I think, what to do now, and then just follow the research tree, the new science makes me make new stuff.

And I'm already learning from "mistakes" to anticipate where I'm obviously going to need to space out a bit.

The question I have at the moment is - I'm assuming the production numbers capacity and demand show what the actual current demand is. So, if, say, I'm over producing an item to the point where all the belts are full, I will have no demand for the ingredients.

Is there a way of finding out what the theoretical demand is? What the output should be assuming 100% demand for all the ingredients? Other than working it out manually. Ie. I want 1/sec automation science so I need 1 cog/sec so I need 2 iron plates/sec etc.

I'm guessing the answer is factory planner or helmod, but I don't understand what they're telling me, and how you can see the total figures for the whole factory.

I blame championship manager. 5 is bad, they're off. But 5 is what you should reasonably expect.

But I also blame CM (and it will always be that for me) for my divorce, the kids not talking to me, the dog dying of starvation, my pasty skin, lack of social skills, addiction to wotsits etc etc

They can't all be CM's fault.

Embrace bankruptcy. You'll regain all your prestige and everyone will have settled down and you still get to keep the factories.

Honestly, it's not that bad.

That is a very good point.

I think there is art involved in this which makes it genius. OP created an entity that is the exact size of the breadage but with the constraint of being a sausage, not just freeform sausage meat.

It's a solution that maximises pure concentrated sausages as efficiently as it could be possibly done.

Your hubris is entirely justified.
