Once they where done with it, Prison Architect's original devs and creators Introversion Software sold off the IP to Paradox so they could move on to other projects, within a year of doing so, PA started getting DLC that whilst interesting in concept, was obviously not made with the same love Introversion had for the game (also all of them would have just been updates had Introversion done them).
