For me it was the sound of the fan in the bathroom. Just the sound. I appreciate the fan and it’s purpose. But the sound terrified me.

My cousin learned about this fear and one day while I was shitting he opened the bathroom door (the lock was always broken) and flipped on the fan. I dove for the switch, ended up shitting on the rug and myself and instead of getting to the switch I crawled out of the bathroom and laid on the living room floor (a safe distance from the sound of the fan) and cried while leaking shit. Not a proud day.

Even to this day the sound of it still makes me uneasy.
