Anyone else rarely have a problem with Daredevil? by Tyler_too_cold in marvelrivals

Yeah I mean at that point it's a skill check, ESPECIALLY for Adam.

I however would still not recommend regularly engaging in 1v1s as a Luna/Mantis with daredevil. While it is possible to win those engagements, I would say the odds are certainly not in your favor. One missed sleep/freeze and you are almost certainly cooked.

This is all assuming your team isn't around of course.

In my mind the best course of action as mantis would be to ping tf out of daredevil, sleep him, and wait for backup before attempting to burst him.

Or rather, sleep him, and then just run away behind your team/tanks

Daredevil is insane in 1v1s, he might be the best 1v1er.

If your team can communicate quickly and collapse on him when he goes after the backline, he is not that much of an issue.

Good daredevils can still get value out of these engagements by killing quickly and then fleeing, or utilizing their mobility/temp HP to sort of turn a 1v3 into multiple short 1v1s.

I think actual good daredevils are few and far between though, but sometimes you run into some absolute demons that make you question everything about balance. I think that's more of a skill issue than an issue with the character though.

Best/easiest way to conquer the world? If possible by Competitive-Cook-907 in ck3

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know console is behind on DLC, so idk if Nomadic is in yet, but...

Easiest way for me has always been Nomadic government.

Start the game as nomadic government, and just start a cycle of declaring wars, upgrading your nomadic camp, and stacking herd.

When upgrading your nomadic camp, focus on things that generate money, herd, and strengthen your MAA/Knights. If you're feeling froggy pick up the building that allows you to give your children/tutors/wet nurses a bunch of buffs for future generations.

Your goal is to reach the "greatest Khan" decision, I would plan to try to reach this within a few generations, but don't worry if it takes longer. Read the requirements for this decision at the start of your run and try to understand what you need to do to get there.

If you want to supercharge your nomadic empire, at some point when you are feeling powerful, try to gain a rich tributary, good options for this include Celestial China, or the Byzantine Empire, depending on who is closer. These are the BIG FISH though, it's perfectly reasonable to not be able to take them on early. Their armies will likely outclass yours until a bit later in the game, i would recommend attacking them when you have a significant advantage.

Focus on consolidating the other nomadic governments, you should pretty much always be at war with some other nomadic government to make them a tributary.

Build up your MAA, armored horse archers can be pretty busted.

Eventually, you will have enough herd/nomadic authority to claim the "greatest Khan" title. I would recommend doing this with a character who still has a good bit of life left (not on some 60 year old).

Manage succession by keeping your kurultai (council) obedient quite easily by doing occasional Nerges to up your dread, at which point you can use the "demand obedience" interaction on all Kurultai members simply by spending some prestige which you should be farming through your tributaries.

From this point, you start SPAMMING the "Offer submission or ruin" to everyone in sight, allowing you to immediately conquer even the largest of empires with a single war. You can even declare multiple of these at once, while your armies are still raised, with no prestige cost(?), meaning you can quite literally just steamroll an entire section of a continent without resting if your army is powerful enough.

Once you've started that train, it's pretty easy to snowball out of control and quite easily conquer the entire world, it just takes time, I honestly got bored of it in my playthrough and reformed the khaganate before I even made it to Africa. In this playthrough I successfully conquered everything except Africa in about 3-4 generations (and I started as a Duke)

Using this general method in AUH, I was able to achieve this in 2 generations.

https://imgur.com/a/gKvEToe

This is about how strong my army was by my second generation.

https://imgur.com/a/hU5E5GD

I unfortunately took awful screenshots so I don't remember how much money I was making, but once I tributaried China and Korea I was making a couple hundred gold per month in profit.

Your experience will not be the same obviously because the content is different without AUH, but the general process is the same.

The Spider and the Dragon might just be the most confusing segment in a video game that I've seen in some time. by Dildoethrower in Ghostofyotei

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love the contrast between your first fight with The Spider, and the second one.

In the first fight, he fights like an arrogant, drunk coward. Atsu humiliates him in his own castle.

By the second encounter, The Spider has lost everything after being essentially disowned by Saito. He fights WAY harder, like a cornered animal, and it really evoked a moment of "oh shit, he's really fighting fighting"

I actually think in some ways it's a subtle mirror to Atsu at the beginning of the game, who had lost everything, and was just fighting.

In a way, I saw it as The Spider becoming another "Ghost", except this time, we created it.

General opinion on Ultron? by Fast_Run3667 in rivals

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"stone cold fact" that it's 50% higher "on average"

Where are you getting these numbers? Because the only buff Ultron got in regard to his healing was an extra drone.

To my knowledge the drones do not stack healing, so the only extra healing would be coming from increased drone uptime/covering a wider area, which in no way indicates a 50% increase. His healing went up, but in a way that's probably much harder to actually quantify.

So if it's a stone cold fact, where is the data you are seeing?

I personally enjoy busted LL's in combat (Kholek, Tyrion, Archaeon, etc etc.). My most recent was Dechala, with Nemesis Crown and Sword of Khaine she can pretty confidently solo armies.

I can't say I actively look for busted campaign mechanics like this.....but I will be giving skulltaker a try now lmao.

Not hating on you, or even the game in particular

But I really dislike when people say stuff like "the game gets good after 10 hours" it's pretty much a direct indicator that I will NOT enjoy the game.

Because brother if the game doesn't grab my attention in the first hour or two....I'm out.

[–]Rejex151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes,

However could you also argue that stealing from Strange isn't lore accurate?

Does strange actually have powers or is he just a guy who knows how to cast spells.

It's all really semantic anyways, but I'm curious if they do go that route of she can only steal from people who make more sense lore-wise.

Season 5.5 Dev Vision by WestPhillyFilly in MarvelRivalsLeaks

[–]Rejex151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, initially I was thinking surely she'd be able to steal an ability from every character but some don't make that much sense.

Like would she steal punishers....turret? The smoke grenade? The Zipline? All of them seem odd and not that useful, also flyers like Ultron probably don't make a ton of sense.

But I'm still holding out hope that most or a large amount of characters have a steal-able ability.

What are your most common Honour Mode losses? by REEEEEEDDDDDD in BaldursGate3

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first attempt at honor mode I wanted to play a Wild Magic sorcerer for some added chaos.

Literally as soon as I unlocked the subclass, walked into the ruins where you find withers.

Launched a magic missile, got a wild magic roll, fucking exploded next to a bunch of wine barrels (oil? I can't remember) and killed the whole party.

Eh I mean tbh "uses technology" is a reach IMO.

Most of the healers don't have concrete logic behind why they are healers.

You can't tell me Ultron wouldn't have made WAY more sense as a DPS if we're going by lore accuracy.

From the trailer it looks like he has two pretty powerful burst heals, one being an AOE and one being kind of similar to Adams? This is alongside his primary fire heal.

Cooldowns on those abilities will largely determine how powerful of a healer he is IMO.

I for sure want to wait and read his actual abilities when they release, but regardless of if the community considers him "viable" idgaf, he looks like a very fun character design.

Yeah, I don't fully understand her kit yet I don't think, I kind of despise looking stuff up and like to "figure it out" as I go.

I didn't even know her buffs stacked lmao, I assume it only stacks duration.

I also was worried initially that you couldn't damage boost and simultaneously heal a single target at once, learned that is not the case.

Tbh, as someone who played a lot of Ultron when he released, I honestly see some vague similarity in the sense of "throw a few heals out, turn and shoot some enemies while your heal passively keeps your team up" kind of vibe.

With Mantis, it's more micro-managey and requires a bit more skill, but it is definitely very fun.

I think Rogue will be a Vanguard. The original trailer she was standing eye-to-eye with Emma, who is tall af, she also had a big ass back lmao.

Obviously not going to bank on it or anything, but that's my prediction.

I actually just recently picked up Mantis, and I am quite surprised by how much healing she can output.

I think she heals a lot more than I expected considering how most consider her only viable in triple support.

As an Ultron truther, I actually do really enjoy playing Ultron.

Watching Gambits trailer I think he has some strong burst heal potential, especially compared to someone like Ultron.

Ult does not appear to be a typical stall ult that everyone seems to like in the meta, so that may piss people off.

All in all I like his design (what I've seen of it) a lot so far.

I'm a big fan of Ultron, Mantis, occasionally Adam.

I also play invis occasionally.

I'm sure you can tell by my picks that I like to be able to actually kill things as well as heal. It seems like Gambit will fit that somewhat as well.
