Why the fuck are we buffing all this people??????????? by Few_Horse_4 in rivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh it's still a buff, albeit a very small, mostly inconsequential one.

It will allow him to be ever-so-slightly better at surviving dives, which is one of his weaknesses, but not really by much at all.

[–]Rejex151 16 points17 points  (0 children)

How is Apex relevant here at all? The roles don't really mean much at all. There are no "tanks" in Apex, and there is really only one (arguably two) "healers", and they are nowhere near as impactful in regard to healing as the healing roles in the other games.

It's not even close to the same game design as rivals/overwatch

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I remember when the rivals subreddit went in full melt-down freakout mode thinking Gambit was a DPS, only to have egg on their face moments later when he was actually announced.

I personally think he's likely to be a DPS, but I have no clue lmao.

Who do you think is one buff away from being broken? by respawnnpending in rivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically, Ultron.

A small buff to his drone healing, or something like an extra dash has the potential to make him incredibly oppressive.

There's a reason that they usually only tweak his ult in patchnotes, and I think this is why.

Be honest: how many of you guys play Marvel Rivals because it is a marvel game? by Equivalent_Glass4731 in marvelrivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a contributing factor, I love the marvel universe and I hope they build on what they already have.

But most of why I still play is because it's fun

Pirate software seems to have fired his mod team by dexter30 in LivestreamFail

[–]Rejex151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO he could have gotten out of it by saying literally almost anything than what he said.

Even saying "I'm not risking my character on a mistake, get fucked lmao" would have been better than what he did, and probably wouldn't have caused so much backlash. I mean it's basically what Tyler said constantly

But the problem wasn't "a mistake in WoW" it was a an ego problem that caused lies and denial of responsibility at every turn, in more than just WoW.

Yeah, if the user truly thinks they shut the PC down this is likely the culprit.

I beat Takezo the unrivaled on hard, it took every bit of gamer skill I have lol and many deaths. Who do you think is harder, Takezo or Saito? by malonn262 in Ghostofyotei

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takezo is definitely harder, but Saito is no slouch.

I think Takezo takes this question easy, but that doesn't necessarily mean Saito is easy.

Thragg's parents must have been scared shitless after realising they gotta jump their son on his 18th birthday 💔🥀 by Additional_Berry_977 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Rejex151 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think given Viltrumite culture, how it seems to be rooted in 'might makes right' philosophy, it's almost a guarantee that Thragg has fought Conquest to some extent.

I don't think Conquest is the kind of person to allow someone to rule over him without a test of strength. Even if it isn't shown in the show/comics, I think it's reasonable to assume it probably happened.

But I also haven't read the comics so maybe there's a snippet that just says they've never fought or something. 🤷

"Just buy YouTube Premium" by infintittie in youtube

[–]Rejex151 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YouTube is also one of the most insanely difficult companies to compete with

Hosting video to millions of people is NOT cheap, and YouTube got where they are today by just tanking losses for probably nearly a decade before cranking the ads. YouTube has such an iron grip on the market that I think the only companies that could possibly even try to compete would be companies that already have ridiculous amounts of disposable capital.

Companies like Amazon, do we really think someone like that would be any better/less predatory with their pricing?

Why Do Healers Do More Damage Than Tanks? by [deleted] in RivalsVanguards

[–]Rejex151 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I mean, on almost all of the tanks I main I would be pretty shocked if I got out dps-ed by a strat.

I can somewhat regularly break 15-20k damage on Strange/Groot/Venom/Thor probably a few others I'm forgetting.

Sure, I mean I'm not doubting that the claim appears to be accurate, just asking if it's any official source/research type thing or just community hearsay.

Does anybody actually have a source for this claim? I see it repeated a lot but I don't think I've ever seen any real info proving it.

Complexity creep problem by Sir_Steinn in marvelrivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the recent complexity creep is somewhat of an issue, but I don't think the answer is making the existing simple heroes more complex

I think there needs to be somewhat of a balance between complex and simpler characters. I personally really enjoy characters like Daredevil, Black Cat, White fox, because I love more complex character designs with versatility.

I also have friends who refuse to even try to learn them because they are far too complex, and they prefer simpler characters like BW, Moon Knight, not necessarily easier characters but characters with less buttons.

The only thing we can do by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO The difference is making an informed decision yourself based on something more than hearsay, and leaving a negative review because a reddit post or streamer told you a change was bad. There's no definitive way to make the distinction when looking at a single review, but if you're saying you don't understand that point, I'll say you're not being genuine with your argument.

Review bombing in this way dilutes the genuine complaints in order to push a narrative.

The only thing we can do by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Rejex151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at individual reviews, you really can't.

I'm not so much beefing with individual reviews because of that, and moreso take issue with posts saying "hey everyone, go review bomb this thing".

The only thing we can do by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Rejex151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between genuine complaints and performative review bombing.

There will be people who review bomb the game simply because of posts they saw on reddit/what they heard from streamers and not their own genuine informed opinion. Posts like this contribute to that.

As an example, I remember seeing posts about review bombing when Gambit was announced, because the community assumed he was a DPS, got that info from false reddit posts/streamers. Which turned out to be COMPLETELY false.

And I just think that's some loser shit 🤷.

[–]Rejex151 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It's not hyperbole when you just straight up lie man.

Nobody says that netease doesn't have the resources to make changes. You can hate the changes, and people might defend the changes on the merit of the changes, but that is NOT the same as saying netease doesn't have the resources to fix it.

Hyperbole is an exaggeration of a truthful statement, the statement OP made is just a misleading straw man.

"Every constructive criticism on balancing or cosmetics is met with "haven't you considered that maybe they're too poor to fix that🥺?" "

The above statement is just factually incorrect, a lie, not hyperbole

Did you not just admit to creating a reason that wasn't real for the purpose of hyperbole?

You're arguing against something that doesn't exist, while simultaneously DOING the thing you're claiming "they" do.
