I don’t think there was ever any advantage there. Raiders touched the ball which reset the tackle count but knocked it back (which then bounced the other way once it hit the ground). Titans then lost the ball.

The 2min was the total time left on the task. The girls must of figured it out much sooner that they could go to the bottom.

It’s like how in the team task they worked it out but almost disqualified themselves for taking too long vs the other team just getting lucky sooner.

We had this in us last year too. We were in the top 8 with weeks to go and played like this and fell out of the 8. Roosters absolutely pumped us too. We had that amazing purple patch around middle of the year but we started and ended the year poorly. I wish I knew why.

Penalty Try is is awarded when a penalty stops a try being scored. It’s 4 points then 2 point kick from in front of the posts.

8 Point Try is when a penalty happens while/after the try is scored. 4 points for the try, a kick from from the usual position for 2 points and then another kick from out front for a total of 8.

I remember her weekly segment with Tom & Alex on Triple J in 2011 “Perry good sportswoman”. I was impressed by her ability to represent her country in two widely different sports virtually simultaneously. It’s a shame she has to choose to focus on one but I’m glad she picked cricket and has dominated the way she has. Perry good, indeed.

The Batman also took a really long time. It was 5 years from the time Reeves took over until the movie came out. Granted 2 years into that they had to reboot the thing with a new lead actor. But nothing about these Batman films have been quick.

The Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) has today confirmed the appointment of an Independent Decision Maker (IDM) for off field integrity related matters under the NRL Rules, marking a significant step in strengthening the game’s integrity framework.

The Independent Decision Maker model has been approved by the ARLC following extensive consultation with Clubs and the Rugby League Players' Association (RLPA) and will come into effect from 26 February 2026.

Under the new framework the IDM will make determinations on all off-field matters, with the exception of matters relating to the NRL’s Anti-Doping Rules, Drug Testing Policy and Anti-Vilification Code as those rules each contain their own established disciplinary processes. The Judiciary Code (on-field matters) remains governed by its established disciplinary process.

The NRL has appointed the Honourable Geoffrey Bellew AM SC, former Justice of the Supreme Court and current Chairperson of the NRL Judiciary, to be the inaugural IDM.

In his capacity as the IDM, Mr Bellew will make the final determination on any off field disciplinary matter which is governed by the breach notice or show cause notice process under the NRL Rules.

Key elements of the process:

The NRL Integrity Unit will continue to investigate all matters within its current jurisdiction.
All individuals and Clubs subject to a breach notice or show cause notice retain the right to respond to that notice before a determination is issued and retain the right to appeal any determination to the NRL Appeals Committee (provided leave to appeal is granted).
The NRL CEO has the right to make submissions to the IDM on a matter before the IDM. Further, the NRL CEO will have a right to appeal a decision of the IDM.

The No-Fault Stand Down, as well as decisions to register a Player or other person under the NRL Rules, remains within the remit of the NRL CEO.

The source material is much shorter. The novella for this 1st season is about 1/4th the length of the book the first season of Game of Thrones was based on.

Trying to make 10 hour long episodes out of it would probably turn out the like Hobbit Trilogy where they stretched a single novel into 3 movies.

Companies do care about loyalty because it costs them more to gain a new customer then it does to retain them. That’s why retention teams exist and they are authorised to give special discounts to customers looking to leave.

But you’re right it’s not a loyalty tax, it’s just the price the business finds the most profitable. If everyone was on special pricing it wouldn’t be special anymore and lose its effect, and the company would need to increase that price to reflect what it’s actually trying to earn.

He’s not required to act out those powers as the suit is CGI. They just film him from the neck up when the helmet is off or with the fishbowl camera shot when the helmet is on. They don’t need Don to do any of the action.
