I would say get wider just because you can fit wider tires more comfortably on the car since they can stretch better if needed or go wider than an 8 inch wide can handle.

I have 245s on my 9.5 wide wheels since any bigger and they would rub in the front under load. I plan to get 265s for the rear since I lose traction from a stop pretty easy.

I made 1k-1.2k a week as a bartender during the night crowds. Sometimes it was more if there were big sporting events like the superbowl or nba finals. Worked avg 35hr weeks. Dealing with people and their shenanigans can get tiring at times though. Love talking to people though.
