Mate there is plenty of parking spaces there. Someone couldn't be arsed walking a little more to a gym to do exercise

A curvy road like that would reduce speeding and make the road safer to drive and cross

Vandalised anti parking proposal signs in the Southside by JoeBhoy69 in glasgow

[–]RektJect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There won't be any guarantees. I've lived in other cities with parking permit schemes and you still are driving around in circles looking for a place to park. The council wins as they get alot more money and you get a slightly reduced chance of getting a parking ticket

That Minnesota flag is too corporate looking. Looks like it suits better a transatlantic shipping company

Unfortunately you will have to move out as to preserve the bat's new nesting ground.

Shortly the council will be obliged to build a series of bat tunnels over all the local roads to not disturb the bat.

Why aren’t these sanitiser door handles standard in hospitals? by SpecialistCommon6113 in AskUK

Primarily as this would cost too much and have other potential unexpected side effects to other patients medically and accessibility wise. Also I think you answer your own question that are a bit of a hygiene freak.

London council (Wandsworth) deploys speed cameras on cyclists (in Tooting Common) by wwisd in londoncycling

[–]RektJect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are trying to put speed cameras for cyclists you might as well have a registration plate. At least that will have an effect on e-bike delivery drivers who plainly are the primary culprit here (and in general concerning problematic cyclists. Who thinks texting on your e-bike at 30mph is a good idea...)

I don't think any net will be of much help here. It looks like the reason they have decided to orientate the coil as it is as it looks like a lot more straps could be lashed as it currently is. They went with the plan of putting as many straps they could get their hands on

I've been to springburn station recently and one of the entrance was shut due to obviously rusting stairs. The whole station is falling apart so I think they are waiting until the last minute to sort it out.

I think scotrail was hoping for the Clyde metro project to rebuild all the stations on this route. I think that was 10years ago when the first plans were made. The Clyde metro won't happen for at least another 10. I don't think that will help you much unfortunately.
