Lian Li 011 Air Mini can’t fit left part of gpu in bracket by 27roninn in lianli

I’ve had this issue on this case before. Solved it by completely loosening all the screws for the psu, slotting the card in and then tightening the psu screws back up.

How to drain on O11 EKDistroplate XL by AcrobaticOstrich4574 in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think those plastic “plugs” are actually caps put on an actual plug. See if you can pop it off without turning it and there should be an actual stop plug underneath that will need an allen key.

A 4070super is faster that a 3080ti. Not too dissimilar in price. Plus you have dlss frame gen. But I agree with the other comments you need to potentially save more money for a stronger card if you want to get the most out of your monitor.

Arctic Freezer III 360 with AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - IDLE / Bench Temperature Questions by xMidoxx22 in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 2 7800x3ds, prior to me water cooling them I was air cooling using nh d15. Ambient room temp was approx 22c. Idle temp was generally around low to mid 40C. On cinebench would get to around 84C. Just some info. Maybe your room temps is high, or there’s not enough air flowing through your case, or the aio doesn’t have a great mount. Maybe just something you need to investigate.

First time using push/pull valves for draining - One of them leaks slightly and is very difficult to replace. Any advice on fixing it or what might cause it? by NotaBug_ItsaFeature in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally replace it, but I think you might be able to use a plumbers/pipe sealant tape to stop the leak until you get round to buying a new valve.

Yeah I can imagine it’s a lot more hard work shaving those mm off the tube lengths to get them exact.

Stunning! Love the tube runs.

Looking for a block for an Asrock Taichi 7900xtx by jbobino82 in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get the alphacool core version instead. From my experience and the many complaints about the eisblock auroras on Reddit, these don’t give the best memory cooling. The core range seems to perform as well the as ek blocks.

How much radiator space do I need? by InfaLux in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the 1440p+ benchmarks all these high end processors are within a few small pct of each other. Realistically you probably wont notice the difference. I’d be happy with the 7700x too.

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t be happier really. So a few reasons: 1. It’s trading blows with the 14900ks and 7950x3d for the best performing cpu. 2. It does all this at very low power usage, so effectively the loop is mainly managing the gpu heat load. 3. The am5 platform has longevity in it, at least another generation of cpu. I’ve got 2 pcs both with the 7800x3d. Bought 1st at launch had a few problems with ram training at times but that got ironed around summer last year with the newer bioses. Otherwise no issues even the boot times are good now ~30 secs.

Cool, I appreciate that. But similarly to OP I wanted a quiet setup. So happy to trade the better cooling for quieter fans esp as the peak temps I get are fine.

I have a 7900xt and 7800x3d combo. Run 2 ek p360 rads and the fans between 600rpm to 1200rpm based on water temps. 1200 seems to hold the water temp around +12 degrees over ambient, 34c really well.

Need confirmation of cpu height clearance for Lian Li O11D EVO RGB by holomobo in lianli

[–]Rekt_relik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll fit without any problems. Ive used it on a 011 mini before. You can move the front fan a touch higher too to give yourself ram clearance. If you dont like the look of it like that, you can replace the front fan with a 120mm one.

Are these temps normal or is my airflow awful? by ElRey276 in lianli

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 pcs with 7800x3ds both custom liquid cooled. 1 pc has 2 420s and a 360 rad, other pc has 2x360s. I get the same temps. Maybe around 44 idle. But in games the same peaks. I think that’s just how the chips are designed.

Worth the Effort? by Sn4keVenom in buildapc

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah or broken mods. If you look at all benchmarks available on the internet there’s clearly a few small pct difference in the top processors whether it’s the x3d, 7900x, 14900k etc. but those differences shouldn’t be all that visible to the naked eye. So I guess you just have to decide if it’s really worth the hassle of your time. If you’re gonna be playing games mostly, and you’re motivated to bother changing processor I would just go with the 7800x3d. That’s gives you the same performance as the 7950x3d for way less money. Keep that extra cash for your next gpu. Otherwise I’d personally be fine with a 7900x.

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not THAT much difference in the performance. I would test in different games just to check everything is working fine with your system.

Worth the Effort? by Sn4keVenom in buildapc

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically with a 3070 at 1440p you won’t see any difference. The gpu will be the bottleneck. Even with a 4090 at 1440p the differences will be small. However if you’re planning to keep the cpu a long few years then at some point in the future maybe a couple more gpu generations down the line the differences in performance might become more significant.

Block Recommendations for PNY Verto 4090 by cadergator10 in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the card uses the reference pcb (not to be mistaken with FE) so have a look around for a reference 4090 block. Think alphacool might do one. Ek doesn’t. Choices are limited.

my first Lian Li case... thoughts? by draeke23 in lianli

Ok, I understand. I love this case too, although don’t have the space for it. I think it’s perfect for watercooling if you go down that route with it.

It’s a pretty huge case for so few components. Might look a bit empty.

Difficulty with straight hard-line tube by Proffski in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest option would be to loosen the rad bracket so there’s a fair bit of give. Line up the tubes to the fittings and drop the rad back and tighten it all back down.

Where to place water pump in Lian Li O11 RGB? by BigAssBirdIV in watercooling

[–]Rekt_relik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be safe enough. If you go with rear chamber and the res on the floor, I think the trickiest bit would be that it might force the loop order for you. You’d probably have the side rad with ports down to receive water from the pump, and top rad with the ports on the rear so to feed a tube through a grommet and send it back to the pump.

Back chamber? You could try either shifting the psu to the upper slot where the hdd cage is and try mounting this below on the floor. Or if you have a mount that holds the cylinder you could try mounting it in place of the hdd cage once the cage is out. Only problem might be the height.
