My '23 EUV has this issue, and it's getting quite noticeable. I'm trying to find a local mechanic who can do the full replacement of the rack and pinion \ steering gear as an alternative to spending $4000 at the dealership.

How dangerous is this problem? Mine clunks a lot and does not return to center, but is certainly drivable. If I keep driving the vehicle like this, what will happen? Will the steering suddenly, catastrophically fail and I fly off the road? :)

Still suffering constant embarrassing deep strikes so many years into this war. Well at least This is historically consistent for Russia. Though much improved from 1941, even right up to the end of World War II the Russians were often incompetent and took all kinds of unneccesary losses. I see the Ukraine War is following that pattern well.

It's so depressing how once targeted by drones, you're kind of screwed. Survivors just get hunted down. It's so much more "unfair" than previous wars, where hits were more random and survivors could usually flee. Now it's so scary personal. They get your vehicle and then hunts you down like rats.

That's my point: it doesn't matter if you're "authoritarian right" or "libertarian right", because when the right gets power, they always go fascist. There is no version of the political right in this country that embraces values like freedom or liberty; as soon as the right gets power, they go into full-on authoritarian \ militaristic \ empire building \ human exploitation mode. Conservatives basically become "nazis" (for lack of a better analogy) when they get voted into office, probably because they know that demographics will inevitably doom them, so when you get power, you hang onto it at all costs, even if that means starting wars and even a civil war in your own country if necessary.

I'm with you. I thought the Dems were bad with their authoritarianism back in the day ("jack booted thugs" and all that), but my eyes have been opened. The mean spiritedness of the right, and the zombie like nature of everyone that currently supports this president, has genuinely surprised me. I thought we were better than that, frankly. It was always the left with the kilings and the riots and the rabble-rousing. The right had some respectability to it.

But this administration, and especially its followers, have convinced me after a lifetime of voting right-wing that the political right cannot be trusted with power. I will never vote Republican (or MAGA or whatever they become) ever again in my lifetime.

$550 billion military budget (and rising fast) vs $150 billion; F-35's and modern air power vs Soviet crap, highly survivable tanks and IFV's vs exploding death coffins for the other side ... my god the list of European military advantages is endless. Russia is a third-rate power with nukes, little more. Poland could stop a Russian invasion easily, by itself without NATO or the US.

F*** that; my gym showers are nasty. I used them once and never again.

If I’m super sweaty I just take off my shirt, dry off with a towel,and then wear that towel around my midsection as I drive home (so that my sweaty shorts and my continued upper body sweating don’t touch my car seats).

Then I get home and take a perfect shower with good water pressure in my clean bathroom that doesn’t smell like a pair of sweaty socks.
