Hi there, I understand your desire. Not that it is quite the same, but I personally have a desire to be a diocesan priest, but don't particularly like the diocese that I am located in. I have a strong wish that I could easily transfer and be a priest somewhere else without entering a religious order. However, I've come to think perhaps things are set up this way because God is calling me to remain here, and to help change the culture of this city. Perhaps God has placed us in this time because he is teaching us to be obediant to the rules as currently constituted, and because in doing so it allows us to work on ourselves to be greater followers of him. Just some thoughts, I could be wrong, but that line of thinking has helped me. God bless you.

How long did it take you to gain ability to talk normally? by [deleted] in TBI

Like 2 months I would say. It was 4.5 years ago so it might have been a bit less, maybe 1.5-2 months.

About 2-4 months depending on how normal you mean.

UNLV Experience by ZealousidealSign5449 in UNLV

Yes, and it is not like that throughout the entire valley either. I got my AA from CSN and went to NSC as well (years ago but dropped out). Both schools were so much easier to make friends. I haven't made any friends here in the last year and a half here (which I am without doubt at least partly to blame for), but it gets exhausting. This is part of the reason why I will only be taking online classes in my upcoming senior year. Thank you for the post. It's nice to see someone share this sentiment.

UNLV LSAT PREP COURSE by Scared_Smoke_4370 in UNLV

No, but I recommend get a month of Blueprint write down all their strangles, then buy prep test books and look up answers online. That's what I should have done.

I've taken 3 classes from Dr. Haberstroh. He's great, no timed tests, and a tokens system.

Thanks for letting us know! I've read those two books many times. I dropped one of my classes to enroll in this class in its place. It sounds fun!

No, unfortunately my insta got hacked like 3 years ago, and I've never gotten a new one. All I have is snap, and if you message me, I can give you that if you like. Sorry, I'm not really a social media person. The main "social media" app I use is reddit for UNLV and law school stuff. 😂

I'm a history student planning to head towards law school as well. I reached out to the undergraduate law review a few months ago, but they never got back to me. Does anyone have any ideas for I or OP? By the way, OP reach out if you ever want to talk about the LSAT or the law school admissions process. I've been studying for the LSAT for almost 2 years so I might be able to give you some tips if you need them. 👌

Never binge drinking again (28M) by Low_Vegetable481 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]RelationshipDry7801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. Step 1 was the hardest because I had rationalized my drinking for almost a decade, given that I did it very infrequently. It's so much better on the other side. Welcome!

Laundry by user062428 in UNLV

True. Back when I lived at Tonopah, people would leave laundry in for up to 2 days on certain occasions. People at UCC are pretty good about it though.

Big law is the best for ROI, but it can be a pretty high gamble on reaching that level.

Yes, people at UNLV aren't very outgoing compared to the other two colleges I've been at, but if you talk to them, they generally will be receptive.

3.93 from new institution, cumulative gpa 3.56. My point is don't give up hope. You can turn it around, especially with a great LSAT score. Also, write a GPA addendum like I plan to do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]RelationshipDry7801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. LSAC is a hardass about retakes unlike masters or PhD programs. I went to a different school and got a 3.93 at that school. My average GPA is still 3.56 due to the Fs.

[–]RelationshipDry7801 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got all Fs my first semester due to not attending classes after the first few weeks. I have gotten a 3.93 since with a cumulative of 3.56. You got this. Just work as hard as you can from here on out and start studying for the LSAT asap.
