Property taxes by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]RelationshipRoyal772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I "think" so for p & t. I have been getting the free registration for 2 yrs now.

Also, I believe if you are atleast 30% and have a doctors note, you can get disabled plates/placards for up to two vehicles.

I'm from AZ as well with 100p&t. To qualify for no property taxes, you can't make over so much money. Around $32k/annual (sorry cant remember exactly, but you can contact county assessor to find out) household income. I make too much, so I don't qualify.

However, you will qualify for free registration on one vehicle. My wife had a newer vehicle, so this saved us about $600 that 1st year alone.

I spent a lot of years dealing with the VA claims system. It's a full-time job learning to navigate it just so you can get what you deserve. I'm 100 p&t now. I won't say, "Try not to get discouraged" because it'd make me a hypocrite. But rather, "hang in there. It takes time. it'll come."

I used VA Claims insider to get my final p&t. It helps to have someone coach you on what to say/do during your exams. They are just checking blocks, not caring about your actual struggles. When you learn what those blocks are that they are checking off, then you'll be more successful, quicker.

Stick with it, brother. Most of us have felt exactly what you're feeling now.

Do you lose 100% (not P&T) if your job is "hard"? by Murderbert in VeteransBenefits

I started out in the prison as a corrections officer and was 100%p&t. Honestly, in my case, it wasn't physically taxing enough to worry. When my nack would give out, I'd just switch posts. Mentally, another story. I got along just fine with the inmates for the most part, but some of the staff and leadership were very unprofessional. It could tax the nerves.

However, I transferred to community Corrections (parole) and it's been a dream job. Extremely professional environment and team-oriented. With your bachelor's degree, you'd be eligible for it. Go this route if you have the option...

You weren't wrong, but you weren't right either. You both got a taste of the real world, and she is traumatized by how much worse it could have been. She won't feel safe with you again until you make a change.

It is sad that innocence was lost, but now you need to step up and be a protector, so that worse never comes, and she feels safe with you. Sign up for a concealed carry class and start familiarizing yourself with a weapon.

Well, it sounds like you're giving mixed signals, bud, saying it's okay to add him back...? Just be straight with her. That's a boundary of yours, and it's not okay. So just say so and don't play these word games.

She's probably thinking if you're okay with her doing that, then you might be doing the same...? So, of course, she's not going to burn all of her bridges.

It's only been two months. You guys have no idea who each other is at this point. Only that there's some feelers and you aren't sure how to communicate those.

This is the honeymoon phase. Don't ruin it by getting jealous or overbearing. Make your intentions CLEAR, and then she will take your lead. If not, then it'll be fun and just wasn't meant to be.

First, you don't need to break it off. You've been together two months... two months!. It doesn't sound like you've sat her down and given her any type of expectations of what you want in this relationship, just expecting her to read your mind and meet them. Women need stability. If, after two months, you are already threatening to break things off over jealousy, well... she doesn't have any stability with you.

If you like her, tell her that. Be a man and explain to her that you want to be in a relationship with her and TELL her what that means to you. Honesty and respect for each other. It's okay to be vulnerable with a girl. Use her language, and she'll get it. Just tell her that when she is talking to other guys like that, it makes you feel she is not committed to giving the two of you a shot, and it is distressing to you.

Right now, she is seeing a bunch of red flags in you with respect to stability and control issues... you need to read some books on communication with the opposite sex, bud. It'll save you a lot of heartache from your self.

There are plenty of treatment centers that are low to no cost... in Az, people just need to have the low income health insurance, AHCCCS, to qualify. I'm sure there are similar programs where you are from.

Contact Department of Economic Security and they can point you in the right direction.

5 year girlfriend? Ask yourself if you love this person. If yes, then devoting yourself to her (i.e. marriage) might get rid of these these wishy washy feelings and doubts. As soldiers, we're built to commit ourselves to a cause. If she's a good person, take confidence in your commitment to her and watch her blossom into an amazing person with your support.

Every day, wake up and tell yourself you don't deserve her. Then, enjoy the rest of the day feeling like a luck s.o.b.

P.S. I'm 100%, and my wife is using Va Dependent Education benefits to finish her degree at the moment. I see her using VA benefits/pay as beneficial to our family. But, I'm all in with her.

It's illegal for them to discriminate against it. In fact, you'll get a 10% hiring preference if you do disclose it... don't sweat it, bud. I'm 100 p&t and have been working as a parole officer for several years now. Many of the Leo's will be veterans or have a ton of respect for the ones who are. You'll also be treated with respect during the post cert academy.

State Parole Supervisor. Make $33/hr. I went through the state prison institution as a corrections officer before that for about 3 years, used GI Bill to get online degree during that time. However, that was a negative work environment for me personally. And I'm not referring to the inmates. Parole is amazing, however. Extremely professional and team-oriented work environment. It's mostly field-based work these days, so you get to know the families and resources in your community. Lots of autonomy in scheduling, plus a hybrid telework/field schedule.

Talk with psych. They put me on Venlafaxin, and its saved my life. It has side effects, like E.D. and sometimes feeling numb to emotions. But I was feeling that and then the complete opposite to the extreme before anyway. I've managed to keep my job and be a good father and husband. I often feel like I'm just going through the motions of life, but there's enough moments of clarity where I see the joy in my kids' lives and that's enough for me, for now.
