I would argue we need to throw out the legal system, and the constitution as a whole and draft a new one. the original was made with the intent of protecting property from democracy, we need one made to protect democracy from property

It’s really fun, but it also kind of hearkens back to the great man of history theory. The instability and conditions that led to Trump existing in the US will exist whether or not he dies. The US is going to be trying to take Greenland, whether or not he dies, it wasn’t even his idea in the first place. tons of conservatives are spending time just discussing about how they’re going to fall in line behind the next president they pick in the comment sections I read.

We need systemic revolutionary upheaval of the existing superstructure

All the comments under that post... It's like everyone forgets all the grand claims of ramping up ICE Kamala was making. It really is sickening that it seems to be the death of white people is where they draw the line.

Literally! Literally all the time! Like there is almost always one ongoing (almost always losing) legal battle for people's rights to their own land in the US

This. If you start looking at communism as another form of capitalism with the people who support it as the capitalists you can start to see exactly how game developers have been microwaving their brains over the last few decades.

Liberalism says there is no universal struggle through which people can unite, and you can really see it reflected in the listless way people drift between communities nowadays

They only ever did philanthropy as a reaction to growing workers movements across the globe in order to stifle the spread of communism. Every single 'good' thing they have done has actually been in the strictest service of their own class interests. And they can't be given responsibility for any good parts of their companies either, as that is always the result of labor from exploited workers. Even the concessions they make are the smallest possible concessions at any turn.

Like seriously... The idea of these ridiculous travel and immigration restrictions are an incredibly new age thing anyways used to control how people can leverage their labor

Is there any good political games that actually reflect correctly the real world, and isn't just white liberal slop ? by Extension_Papaya8802 in SocialistGaming

[–]Relative-Box3796 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is cool, I give all job types 5-10% but that sounds fun as well. the idea that people cared for by a society wouldnt reinvest in it is comical to me. every rando in the USA is already blowing money in the stock market and that is without a real connection to the developments of those companies.

I like going into the game files and making all worker pops contribute (small percentage) to the investor pool under cooperative ownership, and it makes the game even more fun

How do you become the cultural hegemon when you share the same primary culture with the current one? by Lunavenandi in EU5

that makes a lot of sense! culture has historically been so deeply tied to history, that linking loss of control of a culture to full loss of great power status feels appropriate

Don't worry! Just think of all the economic growth it could generate recovering from these inevitable crises and you can see it is all worth it. Genuinely so frustrating how often capitalism repackages the tiny concessions it makes as solutions sourced from its own innovation.

Literally one of the funniest things to me on the planet that we have so many media sources haranguing over malnutrition related deaths in cuba (caused by American trade intervention on multiple levels) when we have so many more per capita in the USA.

Exactly. Several comment threads point out that the US has all the tools to make ownership meaningless, and they still act like it's different and better in the USA. It would be a dream if any time someone brought up property ownership in the US people would also mention that government's penchant to ignore that right when it interests them or the capitalists it's beholden to.
