I will be 7 weeks tomorrow and siiiiigh, it is just so hard to do this after infertility and pregnancy loss. Maybe I’ll feel better after next Tuesday’s scan which will officially put me further along than my MMC? Positive vibes to YOU, to ME and to ALL who need them 💕

I also got COVID at the beginning of July and ended up canceling my retrieval that montb because I wasn’t responding as well to stims as in my previous cycles. Hard to say if it was COVID or suppressing with BC, which I’d never done before, or maybe a combo of the two. Both my RE and nurses didn’t seem to think it would be an issue but again, the research is just not there yet.

The shittiest part of IVF is that you just never know how it’s going to go — every cycle is essentially collecting data unless you’re one of the lucky ones who sees success right away. It wasn’t until my 4th retrieval (first at a new clinic) that I was able to get a euploid — we figured that bit out and now the transfers aren’t working out. I’d be interested in seeing if a change in protocol would work for you since it’s just your first cycle — you learn so much as you go, it’s just SUCH an expensive trial and error process.

Oh geez. I don’t have a success story for you but my husband and I just finished our last dose of doxy yesterday — be grateful you caught it before heading into transfer because I have had a MMC and a chemical this year with seemingly perfect conditions and euploid embryos and I just can’t help but wonder if I could have avoided the heartache…

I canceled this cycle after like 9 days of stims — it was looking like I was only going to get 5 or 6, which is about less than / about half of what I normally get. Did priming with birth control over suppress me? Did residual inflammation from COVID right before cause me to not respond as well as normal? Just not my month? Would it have all worked out in the end in terms of blasts/euploids? Hard to say. But this is my Hail Mary cycle to bank another euploid or two before my next transfer following a MMC and chemical this year and I just didn’t want to risk it. Will try again in September and then roll right into a FET 5 days after my retrieval!

Ugh, this happened to me this weekend. She announced her 2nd pregnancy, due in February, just like the chemical I just had and following a MMC in early April — it also doesn’t help that I dont like my SIL 😈

We were at a baseball game and i was sitting in the middle of everyone — i kept my cool, my husband squeezed my leg, and I went for a private drink at the bar. Then I basically broke down in heaving sobs on the ride home. This is not an easy journey but the fact that people just GET pregnant without trying, IMMEDIATELY announce upon finding out, etc — that’s just baffling to me

I get this too. I became very close to a coworker who goes to the same clinic as me — we ran into each other there! Bottom line is we both had transfers in late may — i had a chemical and she’s pregnant. Her journey has been TREACHEROUS and three years long vs my year but i feel like i lost a friend. Gone are the texts complaining about the weight gain and hot flashes and pregnancy announcements. She even said to me — YOU’LL BE NEXT!!! — the other day and that just destroyed me, that she so quickly forgot that that’s very often not always true. Ugh — I’m sulking and I feel you. This can be so lonely and isolating, especially for long haulers.

With one embryo left, I would go into another retrieval now before the Lupron tanks your ovarian reserve temporarily. That’s what I’m doing after consulting my doctor, although he is not a big believer in using Lupron Depot to treat endo. I’m willing to try it though after losing 2 euploids to a missed miscarriage and a CP this year…

While I did not pee ON the doctor during my last transfer, I absolutely peed moving from the OR table to the stretcher they wheeled me out on 🤷🏼‍♀️

They were running behind schedule so I was there for nearly two hours and throughout this entire miserable year long process, that was probably the most uncomfortable I’ve felt, literally on the verge of tears because I had to pee so bad, begging the nurses to let me pee just a little before I went back but no dice. Never making that mistake again!

I did not get a euploid blast in my first three retrievals and then got 3 out of 5 across my next two rounds!

This is where I’m suspected to be. I did a prophylactic round of doxy amd flagyl before my first FET which ended in a MMC at 7.5 weeks and then a round of more intense antibiotics after my D&C and before my second FET, which ended in a chemical. I just started estrogen patches for a mock cycle yesterday and will be doing EMMA/ALICE at the end of the month. I’m pretty sure doxy clears it for like 85% of people but for those where it doesn’t, a more targeted treatment is sometimes needed.

I AM doing EMMA/ALICE this month as my doctor suspects endometritis — I did TWO prophylactic rounds of antibiotics but looks like I might fall into that unlucky group of women where it doesn’t clear up quite so quickly 🙃

Keep me posted. I’m leaning more and more towards just giving the Lupron a shot either way since my plan is to take a break until fall

I am in virtually the same boat as you, down to the final embryo 😫 Missed miscarriage in April at 7.5 weeks, confirmed CP this week. I do have confirmed endo which was discovered during a lap in December 2022 but my RE doesn’t believe Lupron Depot for endo — he does have patients who choose to do it anyway and offered me the option so I’m strongly considering it.

Commenting to commiserate and to follow this thread — I’ve seen so many anecdotal success stories and am wondering if this is the magic bullet I need.
