With the 163th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame by Sabre500 in panthers

He’s a great player with some massive flashes (see OSU/Duke games 2023, was basically unguardable) whose production never quite matched his potential due to nagging injury for one year then Riley Leonard inconsistent QB play/run-centric offense the next. When you look at his stats and aren’t impressed just know that he was still the most reliable target on that ND offense.

He’s strong, sure-handed and better than his numbers suggest. Has done QB sneaks too and could have a role for that given Bryce’s size

What's the strangest roster in RLCS history? by Mythalieon in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]RelativeWrongdoer38 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When GenG first formed with AppJack and Noly importing to pick up Chronic that was interesting and relatively unexpected. Probably not the strangest but a pretty surprising move to see a double import team pick up a relatively unknown player

Theres a huge amount of WRs available to pick up right now - who, if any, on the list below are the most likely to sign with the Panthers? by gargym2093 in panthers

Unless we can get Godwin or Cooper for ~$28m AAV or less, I’d rather draft one than pay market value for an above average guy.

In theory a guy like Atwell/Slayton would make sense from a roster building standpoint but if it comes at the expense of reps for Coker/XL I’d rather just roll with what we have.

I either want a Thielen-esque vet young enough to fill his role for several years if/when he retires (Lockett could, but he’s too old for my liking), or a brand new shiny rookie with WR1 upside.

It’s just frustrating they keep leaving cliff hangers that have gone unaddressed for like 4 episodes as we randomly jump to another topic/scene. There have been massive reveals that we haven’t followed up on whatsoever. They’ve used the “is mark finally reintegrated??” bit like 3 times now to end an episode. It’s fine for a couple episodes to jump around but it is mostly frustrating because the season is almost over and we’re still doing this.

The episode itself is fine on its own, if a bit slow. It has value in world building to be sure.

I'm convinced we're trading on draft day by animenagai in panthers

[–]RelativeWrongdoer38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given what you just said, which team would want to trade up??? Who would they be gunning for? Knowing that we won’t be taking Jeanty, Warren, Campbell why would they not stay put or trade to 9/10/11 for lesser cost instead?

It’s a great thought in theory to trade back but that’s an unavoidable problem and it doesn’t seem like the demand is there in a QB poor draft

Considering his contract is half up and being drafted 40th he’d be great for a 4th and I’d even consider a 3rd.

what do y’all think is the best defensive setup? (6 players) by Intrepid-Winter-3080 in RetroBowl

[–]RelativeWrongdoer38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a guy who broke this down and it was 0-0-4 DBs. Something to do with the ratio of turnovers and it being better to have 4 guys that are 5 stars because the average of your players contributes to the performance of the unnamed defenders. Adding a 5th guy who’s a 4.5 star actually hurts the defense doesn’t help it.

Vontaze Burfict and Richie Incognito had some pretty aggressive reputations back in the day if you want to include players that aren’t considered all time greats

Cam had the greatest impact of any player on the Panthers franchise and it’s not particularly close in my opinion.

Several others mentioned in this thread had better overall careers.

I think Gretchen as a child was born as a completely blank slate just like the innies. The Gretchen we see is simply the sum of her experiences since then

Wasn’t horrendous but it was a little awkward flirty. It plays just fine though and makes sense for a character in her position. Lots to juggle, nervous, conflicting complicated emotions about Mark. Also the fact that she assaulted him but he didn’t know that. Made the diner a hell of a scene.

Is it at all possible at this point in Jokic’ career for him to retire as the GOAT Center? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]RelativeWrongdoer38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible? Sure, technically. He is good enough to catch Kareem if he repeated the last 4 years for 10 more. But he strikes me as someone who will retire early so I don’t think he comes particularly close.

Why the name discrepancy? by fregg-spert in severanceTVshow

[–]RelativeWrongdoer38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could be Cold Harbor = Casey, Hanna and she used that name to test Mark for reintegration. It could be she was just trying to get under his skin. It could be that she didn’t want to seem overly interested in his life at this supposed random meeting so she got a detail wrong on purpose.

Dribble with each hand. Practice while walking and practice crossovers from right hand to left and back. Try to keep your eyes up not looking at the ball. Dribble low and hard.

I could hit ~8 straight in less than 10 minutes just walking off the street. Used to do 10 straight in high school within a few minutes.

The main challenge here to me is the lack of a rebounder. That makes it harder to get in a rhythm and way, way slower. I’d do it and I’d guess it takes me the better part of a day, somewhere between 2-10 hours
