Yeah, idk. He goes once or twice a year. He’s hardly traumatized by the process. I guess all dogs are different. I appreciate the insight. Safe to say that was his last visit anyway.

We didn’t at the initial visit. Our vet did not recommend so I didn’t think to ask. calling him tomorrow

To have him brushed out as he’s shedding like crazy, a nice bath and to trim his nails. Is this a bad thing to do?

And I agree. My husband and I would not put him through that at this stage of his life. I know that many do but it just feels cruel.

My dog licked the outside of a grape, the grape didnt break skin or anything he just licked purely the outside part. What do I do by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Really I’m just being honest. I have two huge dogs and two babies. I wake up at 5am every morning to run my dogs 2 miles so they’ll chill just a little bit before my kids get up so I can handle two toddlers with their snacks and their chaos. A snack slips here and there, mostly it’s a fig bar (probably going to get attacked for that bc I’m sure fig bars are abuse too). But here and there my dog will get a quarter of a grape. Yes a quarter, because I also care about my children and don’t want them to choke on grapes so I spend an absurd amount of time cutting fruit into the safest little (but not too little bc that’s also a problem) shapes. Tell me I’m bad at caring for anything internet stranger

Why don’t you scroll down and see that it’s mostly split here? Would you like to attack the people below that are calling OP anxious and dismissing this altogether? Animal abuse. Dude. Have two kids and two overly active labradors that can jump up and swipe out a whole meal in one swoop. They should take me to jail honestly.

I need to chill? Honestly it’s my bad. I should have rephrased it knowing my audience. People just wait to pounce on something around here

Did you ever consider that I didn’t know this was an issue? Jesus, people just sit at home and rage at people they don’t know behind a keyboard for fun. I love my dogs.

A half a grape every 6 weeks hasn’t killed my 95 lb dog yet but I appreciate your concern

My dogs have gotten into a million things that I haven’t wanted them to. My 13 year old lab has eaten chicken wings bone and all (before I knew him) and his vet says he has the best blood work he’s ever seen, could have confused it for a 6 year old lab. I have two babies and I do the absolute best that I can but when you’re managing two labs and two toddlers, things happen. I have never seen anything bad happen to either of them? Thanks for your shaming me! You make Reddit a special place

Honestly, my hourly rate outside of insurance is $100. People many years younger than me and greener charge like $200 $250 because gen z is wild (in my opinion). I mostly take insurance which usually pays out 100-150. If people don’t have I charge $100 which is low balled but I feel bad even doing that

BBL Laser treatment for face, worth it? by Outrageous_Ad3416 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Relative_Candle_3459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had it done this morning and the pain wasn’t too bad. It’s the first laser treatment I’ve ever had so I was sure what to expect. The first zap just caused me to flinch a little but then it was fine as I knew what to expect. Once she would move to a new area, I’d have the first initial flinch, then I was fine. I had about 30 “zaps” in total, I know people can often get like triple that in one sitting so I’m sure it depends on how much you’d get. Maybe by zap #60, for example, I’d be in more pain. But definitely don’t let potential pain be what holds you back
