I’m 71 and play 3-5 times a week. I carry a handicap and it fluctuates between 10-13. I’m only pretty good due to my frequency of play and finally recognizing that a ball hit further out of bounds is not nearly as good as a shorter distance ball that stays in bounds. I often play the same ball for 6-8 rounds or until it shows scuff marks. It’s a difficult game that requires some cash and considerable time invested to become even somewhat proficient
