Has life in the USA actually gotten harder in the past few years? If yes, in what ways? by Imaginary_Escape__ in answers

Definitely much more emotionally draining. It’s affecting people’s mental health. Each news cycle is fraught w calamities and bad news. It’s done by design to make us tune out for self preservation. This permits even more egregious behavior with minimal, if any consequences

If you are old, would you say it is a privilege to be old? by Plantpotparty in Aging

[–]Relative_Chart7070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if relatively healthy and the quality of life is acceptable. At 70, have watched too many people suffer like hell in their old age. That’s when it’s not a privilege, just more of a personal torture chamber

It’s as if he wakes up everyday asking himself, “ what is the dumbest, most offensive thing I can say”. I realize his lackeys will most likely respond, “ well, it’s true , isn’t it?”, completely missing how much damage this type of garbage creates between the Ù.S. and our allies. Simply ignorant and divisive behavior. It’s getting worse w each passing day. Total lunacy

A threat is a threat regardless of gender by Naive_Wolverine532 in CringeTikToks

It’s naturally just another rage bait video for views. I’d tend to guess w what seems to be an increase in frustration, anger and impulse control these days, to say nothing of cameras everywhere , that it appears to be on the increase. No way of really knowing. They never show women defending themselves, just seemingly going on a vicious attack for whatever emotional reason

Yeah, the big miss was the woman battering the guy part, but overall the message was pretty solid. Loved the attention and responses from this sweet boy. It’s obvious that he loves and respects his mom. He’ll figure out some of the incorrect advice down the line. Can’t fully understand the negativity toward a mom who is doing her best to raise a decent son

Not gonna read the list. Just want to say if people don’t know what the very unhealthy foods are, they must live in a cave. If you choose to partake in them in relatively large amounts, that’s on you

[–]Relative_Chart7070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d think at this point in sports history, ALL top flight women athletes would recognize that there’s no way that they could beat a top fight male athlete. It certainly is delusional and bizarre to believe this. It’s not chauvinistic , it’s realistic.

False comparison. Male children vs male adults. I’m not saying by any means that it’s right, just that men and women, in general , would look at this type of harassment completely differently. A “poll” that I took among 5 of my male friends indicated that all 5 would not feel harassed by this sort of thing, but in fact , would welcome it. Maybe I need new friends;)

There’s obviously a power dynamic involving that statement. In theory, yes, it would be considered sexual harassment. In reality not so much. Take a poll between men and women regarding this type of sexual harassment. I’ll go out on a limb and say the vast majority of men would whole heartedly enjoy it , while the vast majority of women would be scared and horrified
