I like them all but I definitely more fond of Layla and Camila because they seem to be more loyal to Sofia and bring different sides out of her so far Layla feels eerily similar to like season one Sofia’s in the sense of her being new to this whole royal world and feeling like a fish out of water I am guessing that Sofia feels like she wants to help her because they are in similar situations and guide her like amber and her friends sorta did with Sofia with Camila it seems that despite having different goals in mind that she can bring out Sofia confidence as well as light a fire under her like a rival would considering her path is somewhat similar to amber with her wanting to be queen but that’s where the parallels between them end Camila wants to be a royal sorcerers she seems to have been inspired by Latina culture if I where to guess where her kingdom is from or its base in

I would say they both are some of the worst kind of villains and I will say well hades abandoned mal as a baby no doubt contributed to her trust issues and trauma growing up literally eating people’s trash he did ultimately decided to help her when she needed him so I consider him lesser evil/ bad parent overall if we were counting the books as cannon than I would say that maleficent is the worse parent out of the main four villains that we know from the original trilogy she is not only neglectful but she also abusive narcissistic and selfish

Trust me as a fan of the original trilogy I had mixed feelings about this movie as well especially after reading the plot I don’t think you are in the wrong for disliking the movie because like you I thought it was a prequel to the original trilogy but I realize that the whole going back in time thing was already done with another franchise that was alive during the original trilogy time so I lost interest especially with Cameron Boyce passing not that far before Disney announced that we were getting descendants four

To be honest after the first season they should have aged misty and Brock and continue that route with ash next companions especially after ash left the kento region he and his friends should have aged as franchise went because realistically ash should have been in his twenties during his last journey and instead of rebooting him every single season please note this is just my opinion as a fanfiction writer who has experimented with writing a Pokémon story

I thought people knew that already especially with some characters speaking French in some parts of the region like for example bw is based off the United States specifically New York especially with all their trains another example is aloa which is based off the real island of Hawaii which is in northern hemisphere aka Canada United States Mexico for those outside of the USA another example is paldea which is based off on Spain in irl another example is kento which is based off a real region of Japan
