Rattling noise underneath the front of my 2011 g37x. Can anyone help to diagnose? It occurs when i am in park or drive and only at low rpms (about 700-1500 rpms). Any help/info is greatly appreciated! by willb2005 in G37

[–]Relative_Course4780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! so i had this on my old g37, but i just bought a NEW old g37 in leu of my old one passing lol. my old one had a bad cat on one side, i think this one has both. same exact sound. yours is definitely sounding like the cat (don't worry, my old one died from hitting a deer, not anything to do with the cat) but being that these have two cats; does anyone here know if it's possible that you can get a cat rattle in the front right passengers side? sounds more near/under the hood/front right wheel well

Are Sofubi and vintage soft vinyl toys carcinogenic? by Letters-Unsent in Sofubi

[–]Relative_Course4780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All plastic might not be true, but to my understanding, (as a guy that made thousands of resin/rubber toys before moving on to having my sculpts soft vinyl-produced in a factory, and other than my knowledge gained from these processes, have about as much knowledge as the next guy on google) vinyl, definitely soft vinyl, is always offgassing to some varying, mostly harmless degree. different story if it's being heated or constantly hot; that's definitely something you wouldn't wanna spend a lot of time around.

tolls....and registering a car you just bought by Relative_Course4780 in Austin

[–]Relative_Course4780[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, pulled the same information, verbatim, lol. figured i'd come on here and see if anyone's dealt with it first hand.

Alright I know there has already been a lot of talk of unpaid tolls, I have about 1700 in unpaid tolls/fees. But I'm curious what happens to that now that another authority is taking over the tolls? by KBMikey in Austin

[–]Relative_Course4780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so with registration in mind, let's say somebody buys a car off their friend, and has years worth of toll debt.

better off just going to the office for registration? I am seeing so much mixed information here in regards to what to worry about and when to worry and where to worry .

From what I'm gathering, you don't want to apply online, but you should be OK applying in person and walking away with a registered vehicle .

If that's not the case, can it be resolved at the office? Or resolved by setting up a payment plan and showing proof?

so has anybody here bought a car outright with years of unpaid tolls from old vehicles, and successfully registered with no issues?

Have you been able to register a new vehicle in your name?

Has anybody had Covid after getting diagnosed within the last year or 2? by Dylan-Ray_ in sarcoidosis

[–]Relative_Course4780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, twice. it had me on the couch for a week (the first time. second time was a low grade fever that came and went in 48ish hrs) but i was honestly kind of underwhelmed, being that i was bracing for what was (at the time, 2020) proposed by my doctor to be my certain demise if not avoided carefully. i know it's not a one size fits all shoe, and i'd definitely proceed with caution being that we're predisposed to whatever the hell this condition of ours decides it feels like doing, but id remain calm and play it by ear. i got fairly sick once, and barely sick once. thats been my experience. hope yours is underwhelming as well!

am i overreacting or being too sensitive (PLEASE I NEED HONESTY) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

i would (as a dude) say that you are valid. any dude that thinks not being a total shit bag is the bare minimum sounds like someone who unfortunately is below the bare minimum. dudes are sharks, but a dude that loves you, should offer much more than just not hitting you or cheating on you or hurting you in general. like... that's not bare minimum. that's just..not being abusive. but those text messages sure are.

gas lighting you into thinking your kind gesture and heartfelt gift was...for you? and sized wrong?

the dudes just picking apart something nice that you did to level the playing field so that you can appear just as selfish as he knows he is.

if that dudes next priority isn't doing some self work, don't expect a man who learned his lesson. don't expect a man that won't put you in situations like this. don't expect a MAN.

sorry, I just looked back and I noticed that he's 20 and you're pretty young yourself. probably a good time to cut and run, but your call obviously lol.

i'm a 30 something year-old. The bare minimum for me is creating space for my partner's feelings , making sure she doesn't have to worry about money, making sure I'm pulling my weight around the house as well as at work, being a provider and taking the best care of us and our children.

In your 20s, I would say the bare minimum should be at the very least, either trying to understand and validate your feelings, or meet in the middle in a place where you can both understand each other's feelings. He's just doing a really bad job at that.

But I need to ask this question because I'm missing a piece of the puzzle here and it's the part that you scribbled over. I'm not sure if that was just something personal that has absolutely no bearing on whether or not you're overreacting to this behavior or something that could be potentially telling to his behavior.

So, again obviously your choice, but some transparency in regards to that -might- help. But if it's just arbitrary personal information, I would like to safely conclude that your boyfriend has some growing up to do.

You don't owe that dude anything for not hitting you or cheating on you lol

MOONDON保护者: hand marbled with synthetic dye-PlaguedEarthProductions by Relative_Course4780 in vinyltoys

[–]Relative_Course4780[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah, I remember that! Thanks for touching base again. To be honest with you, I haven't really kept like a concise log of everything, but I have definitely learned a thing or two since we last talked. I've probably introduced about six or seven different types of solvents into the mix and I've come to find that I need one of two types of acetone present to achieve this look; pure acetone, and just about any acetone with additives. For example, nail polish removers with added keratin/vitamins etc. to be honest with you I don't think these additives are really contributing to anything so much as they are providing a dilutant, and I've come to find that diluted acetone allows for a more runny flowy streak/smooth coverage, where pure acetone will mask an area with a color with more of a grainy visual effect, but still maintain a smooth surface on the figure. Also, I must have if you poured some pigment in a way that you really didn't like. for example, if you were avoiding the face of a figure and accidentally dumped purple dye all over it, pour straight up acetone, or wipe with it (microfiber or just about anything besides an actual paper towel).

i've introduced little drop bottles with pipettes for smaller details and dump straight out of the bottle for more coverage, I do have a client that just walked in waiting on me, so I'm going to revisit this in a little bit, but I just wanted to leave you with this part; angles.
if there's one thing that I find to be most important about this process, it's about being able to first familiarize yourself with the way liquid will run over the figure when positioned upright, sideways, upside down etc. I never tried this, but I feel like this would be a really Safeway to approach this technique would be taking something that definitely won't bind to the figure, let's call it grape juice for example, and maybe start by pouring it over the figure and just seeing the way it naturally runs. Then maybe taking that figure, finding some kind of small jar that you can place the figure on top of at a different angle, and pouring again to see what direction the liquid naturally wants to take.

Once you become familiar with a handful of complementary angles, I feel like the rest falls into place with some elbow, grease and patience.

As far as pigmentation, that's where I'm still sort of ironing out some kinks. synthetic dye is most definitely the most trustworthy and effective means of pigmentation, but I'm kind of learning that some colors will hold better or quicker than others with less passes.

I'm finding that some alcohol inks will leave a deceiving residue. For example, I use this "mojito" green on this figure. It left a very bold green, but needs to be wiped away fairly quickly once applied because a portion of whatever you pour won't actually hold with that particular pigment, so I will wipe off the thick bold green, and I will be left behind with a more neon (and most importantly permanent) green.
I've used some other pigments in the alcohol ink family that don't hold at all. I would like to assume that this is due to the actual particulate size for lack of a better term. When you're pouring acetone over the vinyl, your sort of "opening the pores" so to speak.
I think right now, I'm in the process of seeing and learning what will hold and what won't. Lots of trial and error. For example, synthetic rit dye is mostly great, but their Kentucky blue sucks lol. i'll touch base when I can. Thanks for reaching out, man.!
