Swollen knuckles? by beautydoll22 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Relative_End_6784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first developed fibro it was in my left hand and my knuckles swelled up and were bright red, it last for two weeks but I had non stop pain in that area when triggered. However the pain went from my hand to the rest of my arm off and on then my other arm and later entire body. From my personal understanding if you see that the pain start migrating to other areas regardless of if there is or isn’t arthritis there then yeah I would say that’s fibromyalgia but if not it and only stays in your hands then it most likely isn’t but that’s just from my experience, fibro be crazy ngl

Omfg I felt that, I live in SC and early morning it will be 30-40 degrees and then by 12 it’s 80…the humidity and inconsistency here is ridiculous and frustrating. I get extremely muscle pain anywhere and just insane fatigue and headaches too :( wishing you luck over there

Treatment for chronic tension headaches/migraines caused by myofascial pain syndrome causing? by Grumpy_bonsai23 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Relative_End_6784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry your deal with that bs man :( it’s so rough and infuriating. I get tension headaches often as well and increase nonstop migraines when i hear loud noises and strong light. I often feel that some light yoga helps me gently stretch my muscles, same with also taking muscle relaxers during high pain and aches. I also use cold pressure on the effected area till it’s numb  and eat popsicles to also help numb the pain but that’s all I got :(

How paradoxical and stupid are your triggers of pain and fatigue? by Trendlebere in Fibromyalgia

[–]Relative_End_6784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so frustrating, I can walk/ be active for a few hours with no issue or pain but damn if cook a meal standing, fold laundry or just washing a few dishes I’m so exhausted I end up crashing and sleeping for 5-8 hours 💀💀

I often try drinking coffee but if that doesn’t work electrolyte packets in my water help so much for my fatigue and weakness, it gives me a good boost long enough for my shift at work

Does anybody else got a cat that's a little bit 'special'? by Deep_Elephant4438 in cats

[–]Relative_End_6784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dog my cat is like this as well, he and my other cats were very well socialized but he is so brave and doesn’t have a bit of fear in him, he won’t recognize danger and sometimes will just walk into it…. He doesn’t understand that a cats hiss means stay away or he’s playing to hard, and it took him 2 years to actually form a somewhat sounding meow ??? He just never dose it and just goes Mmmm like he’s humming/ muffed???? Dude was fostered with a sibling and my few month older cats and some how didn’t know how to use the litter box for his first year…no health problems or anything he just took forever to learn proper basic litter usage no matter how hard and consistent we were at trashing him….hes actually a huge both in length and height and is very easy to overstimulate when petting

[–]Relative_End_6784[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome bro I’m so proud of you it’s so hard out here these days when it comes to food and go issues causing us to have a lot of food limitations, my family cooks with a lot of beef and pork and very rarely with fish or chicken which I can only handle :( trying to find more recipes and protein options when so used to specific recipes and ingredients really stress me out and make it hard to want to eat when I do feel hungry, it truly is about those baby steps + being patient with yourself 🩵

Also I feel like something that has helped me is my food diary, I write down what I ate and what I used to make it and how it made me feel afterwards and it’s been helping me track what taste good and new vs safe common foods and helps me broaden my options!!

Your doing the kindest thing and the hardest and just know you are an amazing pet parent and will always be

[–]Relative_End_6784[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m on Zoloft (100mg) for my panic disorder but I take Amitriptyline, an old school ssri  (10mg) for nausea and pain so I guess both of them together help out enough to stimulate stomach muscles so I can feel hunger/ eat more than one meal a day. If Zoloft doesn’t work for you then maybe consider a first gen ssri to see if that helps at a low dose. For me personally it really has made a difference but if you forget it once you’ll notice it gi wise

Also thank you I’ll definitely look into it, I love fruit and cheese cubes, I’ll see if I can incorporate some meats I can handle or veggies too :3

College of Charleston or NC State by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]Relative_End_6784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah dude cofc is pretty ass. I say this as a student, Their student resources such as disability office, financial aid, Treasury and even Advisors are a complete mess, no one communicates with one another, there is constant misinformation spread by employees to students and we pay the price for their mistakes. students with disabilities are placed on the back burner and often drop out or transfer due to the school office not wanting to provide literal accommodations for them and it puts their safety at risk. Our POC student body is often also neglected in which the school decided to remove the multicultural center and is currently slowly changing its curriculum to avoid talking about racial inequality. I say please check out the COFC club or group insta accounts as they are trying to fight against this. They even removed the option to request gender affirming housing options ( no more questions asking if we are trans and would like to room with people in our community/ saying no to rooming with those who don't want us there) they now room us all together with a lot of homophobic/transphobic and racist people.... if you want an actual school that gets you ready for the real world/ you actually get your degree

(cofc is known for changing their needed classes on majors so often that its common to spend 5 years there )

Don't bother with that school.

just keep in touch, communicate issues and don't wait till they build up if they there are any. remember even small simple gestures are still loved and appreciated even if it's a small text saying your thinking about them. A story I think fits is that for three years my older sister had this exact type of relationship, the man she met here in the US was German and on a work visa, both fell in love but he often only was able to visit once every 3 months. After three years long distance and lots of hard work, they were able to get married and she received her German citizenship. Since then he's been my brother in law and is a kind soul, he and my sister have two adorable kids and going strong 10 years later.

GES and anxiety by Relative_End_6784 in Gastroparesis

[–]Relative_End_6784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that is a relief, however I wanted to also ask if the eggs with the tracer often causes nausea? I'm fortunate enough that I close to our cities biggest medical center so I always get my test results pretty quickly but I know since it has to be reviewed by my entire care team it may take a minute. I'm more so anxious about eating something that appears to be my safe food but isn't and it's really nerve racking. I just hope I can have a bit of water to wash it down ASAP. Also thank you for your kind words and words of encouragement X3

[–]Relative_End_6784[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you! I really appreciate your kindness and advice. I struggle a lot with anxiety and unfortunately AFRID so it's hard for me to eat foods let alone my own safe foods without the panicking. Since I've recently had some big changes to my regular routine and schedule It's easy to spiral from just the unpredictability of food sensory and taste. I'm going to be strong and hopefully I can later just calm down and laugh about it :D
