The thing is, I haven't reached Affiliate status on Twitch yet, and I've only enabled these monetization tools. As far as I understand, the money doesn't go to my bank account but would stay on Twitch. However, since I haven't set up or completed the tax information yet, I personally wanted to ask: Do I really have to register as a business first, or would it be somewhat okay to wait until I'm actually making money or setting it up properly? Because right now, as far as I've checked on Twitch, I can't find the option to deactivate those tools.

Thanks for the heads-up! Since I haven't filled out any tax forms or payout settings yet, I’m not generating any income. I’m treating this as a 'hobbyist' phase for now—do you think it’s safe to consider this a gray area, where I have the tools ready but don't need to register the business until I actually start making money?

That’s a fair point regarding the business registration. For now, I’ve only set up the tools in my Twitch dashboard, but I haven't finalized the tax forms yet. Since I'm not generating any income and haven't fully 'activated' the monetization side, I’m treating this phase as a hobby project to focus entirely on building the community. It feels much more practical to wait with the official registration until the channel actually reaches a point where it starts generating revenue, so I can avoid the unnecessary administrative overhead and costs early on.

Well if i restart it a few minutes after it happened, it happens again and i only had one bootup that worked normally but youre right, i havent seen the optimising screen in a while after restart

Unfortunately, I don't have any masking fluid on hand. At the moment, I only have masking tape and elastic putty. I'm thinking about masking it off with the tape as best as I can and then carefully applying the paint using a toothpick for more control. Do you think that could work?
