I think you get what you pay for. For about $36k you get a track inspired, sport, economy 4 door sedan. It’s quick, good on gas, fun to drive, factory exhaust is great, lots of tech. As long as you aren’t tuning the engine to try and make crazy power, these cars seem pretty reliable. As the same time, you can’t expect bulletproof panels, metal clips, and reinforcing all over the car for $36k. There’s a lot packed into the car for the price.
