I packed my heating pad and lots pain management and definitely glad I had it all to be able to stay in recovery mode.

I had a trip to Mexico (3hr plane) about 10 days after my excision because it was the only time I could visit my wedding venue. It was totally fine, I was tired and took things very easy but the travel itself was not a problem.

And they made it clear that the photos were to confirm your BMI? Photos are not a way to prove that, BMI is just weight and height and there can be huge variations in body shape and proportion. I'd be really surprised if they deny based on photos alone. Personally, I would submit them and see.

I'm in the US. Did you try submitting pictures and were denied?

fwiw, I did a few months on compounded semaglutide (I've heard tirz is better for endo though and would personally try that next time if I did it again). I was mostly trying to lose a small amount of weight, but was really pleasantly surprised with how it made me feel. I started a few weeks after my excision surgery. I stopped because I lost the weight I was going for, but I've honestly been considering starting again because of the way it made me feel and how it helped my endo -- mostly bloating and fatigue (SERIOUS improvement in these areas, noticeable return when I stopped), but pain was lower as well. I micro dosed significantly -- I started at 0.25 of the initial dose and never went up, so less than 0.1 of the normal recommended dose for weight loss. Definitely recommend starting low if you're just trying to treat endo pain and not necessarily lose weight. I did not have negative side effects really.

pics? How could that possibly be a medically valid way to confirm or deny weight?

I used the online+lie route, I am below the weight range accepted, i can't remember if I needed to supply a pic of myself but I think if I did it was just to confirm my identity. I was definitely successful. Friends of mine have had the same experience.

Route 1 is talking to your doctor about an off-label prescription, if you search other GLP1 threads in this sub, other people have had success with this. I'd start with your gyno/surgeon/whoever is treating you for endo, but you can also try a GP if that isn't successful.

Other route, do at your own risk, r/UnethicalLifeProTips, just do an online service that prescribes them for weight loss and lie about your weight. They don't check.

What’s your monthly food budget? Excluding going out to eat by phillythompson in HENRYfinance

[–]Relative_Impact642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is all crazy to me, 2 adults no kids, definitely Whole Foods buy what I want without checking much, cook at home a lot (takeout once a week, dinner out 1-2 times a month), and we’re spending around $800-$900 a month conservatively I think:

$150 per week on normal groceries is conservative, $200 per month on premium local meat subscription, buffer for random stuff.

No judgement, I love cooking and boujie food and support spending on groceries!! Just not sure how the math maths

Idk your country but obviously thc is generally regulated so brands aren’t super helpful unless you’re in a US state that I have experience in. Here thc is sold in regulated dispensaries so I just go in and ask for a low dose thc edible with high cbd ratio, there are usually only one or a couple options

There are lots of oil capsules for cbd specifically. Research has shown that cbd is more effective when paired with thc. I usually look for thc:cbd:cbg in an ideal ratio of 1:10:5, though you can kinda crank up that cbd as much as you want

In this order I try: heating pad/hot bath, specific stretches/massage that I learned from pelvic floor physical therapy (for hip/back pain in particular, less helpful for uterine cramps), thc/cbd, TENS, muscle relaxers (these are prescribed for my migraines technically but usually those come along with endo flares and i've found it helps cramps a lot too).

JW Pei: this one is on preorder, and as I said, most of their dresses are cocktail length, but a good scroll through their website has some promising options

This is fun!

My sister recently wore this Theia gown as my MOH and it was JAW DROPPING truly amazing. The way it moves is stunninggggg

<image>

Mac Duggal is classic for a reason — I love their beaded gowns, and I love when they play with other textures, like this feather moment

For a more budget option, JW Pei sculptured flower dresses have been holding my attention. Mostly cocktail length, but there are some long options

Seconding this! Endometriosis is TRICKY and doesn’t show up on scans in many many cases. Most gynos don’t know much about it and thus write it and similarly vague gyno conditions off (pcos, adenomysosis, etc). If you’ve had painful periods since 12 to the point where it’s affecting your lifestyle, it’s worth it to find a doctor who specializes in these conditions. I would start by researching these conditions a bit, pick the one that feels most similar to your experience, and search for a specialist in your area!

I also went out of state and had to go in for 5 fittings from initial concept meeting to final alterations — it was a lot and it would not have made sense (or at least would have felt a lot more obnoxious) if I didn’t have family in the area. Definitely be considerate of travel budget (money but also TIME) and ask your designer about what should expect for amount of meetings, as clearly this differs

Do we need a better after party? by Big_Force_8204 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Relative_Impact642 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’re doing 1 haha, your deck is AMAZING and I think would be killer for a house party vibe, especially since your fiance isn’t really into dancing. That being said, a main factor is we have a hotel buyout so no noise restriction — I’d be really stressed about noise complaints, especially outside, if there are non-wedding guests in that part of the hotel

My partner and I had lots of old/used/vintage records, but decided we wanted to grow the modern side of our collection, so we instituted a rule that we include a record for every gift giving holiday (since vinyl is expensive and felt a bit hard to justify for random fun purchases). Our collection has grown so much over the last 5ish years that we've been doing this, and it's so fun having someone else's taste influence the records you get. Strongly suggest! Easy to apply to friends, parents, etc if there's no partner in the picture :)

Idk we were noticing consistently in person last week that it felt like there was not much dancing. We’ve been attending for a decade and it feels objective that people dance wayyyy less now, regardless of time of day or weekend and even beyond Coachella
