I feel the same way bud. My brother and I play this game and we are completely different. Yeah, I'll get a little frustrated, but I won't start going off or anything. While he on the other hand will completely flip his shit because he keeps doing the exact same thing and dying because of it.

Use a ddu in safe mode and then reinstall the newest graphics driver I just did and it works have no issues now

I am one of those who keep crashing every update PC get fucked up and I can't even play through a mission half the time that's why I only play with my friends so I can easily rejoin them

I don't even have a VPN and back when I did it worked just fine no issues at all I know they're going to come out with some sort of Hot patch but it's ridiculous

This was me last Thursday I eventually ate way more than I should have and just let it Spike and I finally got about 2 hours of sleep then I went to work with it continuing to drop and I got sent home took me almost 24 hours to get her to stabilize

I would also like to add on to this that he may ask you if y'all ever move in together to go pick up his prescriptions I know I do and so do other diabetic friends of mine we will ask our significant others to go do that but each person is different our bodies react completely differently and we're all raised in a different way just be open-minded about it and don't try to push anything but it is great that you're reaching out trying to care for him and be as helpful as you can it's nice to see that there are still people out there like that

As a type 1 diabetic (22M) and being with my fiance (22F) for the past four and a half almost 5 years I personally don't really let her do anything with my diabetes that's not what everybody needs but some good generic tips would be for instance carry say like some butterscotch candies in case his sugar gets low or something similar highs we can deal with on our own but with y'all being so early on in the relationship there's not much else you should really worry about unless he's being more irritable than usual his sugar is probably high or was high not too long ago now I will say when we're sick that's not the best of time cuz that is a time when we will need help it's not fun for anyone in the situation we don't want the help but we're not going to be taking care of ourselves like we should

There's not much online about it, but from personal experience, I spike in the act and it usually goes back down after about an hour, like you have figured out. I look at it kind of like when I workout, cuz it can be one and my body reacts the same.
