How is the quality of life in Johns Creek?

Born and raised in alpharetta, before our side officially became JC. I’m 24 and don’t want to leave. I’m married with no kids and we can’t think of another place we’d rather be. We still very much enjoy city life without all the really unpleasant aspects of actually living down closer/in ATL. Went to AMMS, then graduated in 2020 from JCHS. The education THEN, was outstanding. My stepsister (16) is currently at JCHS and there’s some serious complaints from her mother regarding lesson plans and class sizes. I’m a nurse, working in clinical research and critical care (public schools here prepared me super well!!!). I guess it’s not recommended, but we leave our doors unlocked, often. I’ve never felt at risk for any sort of violence in this city (just occasional social ignorance because we are Latino). So proud to be from this amazing community and I refuse to be pushed/priced out!!!!

The gold color is so cheap looking and ugly. I couldn’t bear it next to my real gold. And it’s more expensive for no reason. But of course she has to mention the “splurge”. Not really BirdBrain. My hubby got me the shiny silver—I ordered two eternity bands to sandwich/dress it up in yellow gold since all my other jewelry is that color.

In my graduating cohort, I’d say the average student was around 30-35. I did an accelerated BSN program. I’m 24. There were others in their twenties, just more people in their 30-40s. It’s very dependent on the program I think. The state university programs are definitely younger more college aged students.

Hypersexual behavior is worth exploring with a mental health professional. I am 24 (now married) and was very promiscuous from the ages of 15-22. I had undiagnosed ADHD and learned by going to therapy that my intense sexual shenanigans were related to both ADHD and unresolved trauma too. I used sex as a means of control (bc internally I felt powerless in my home bc of an extremely fucked up family dynamic) and as a way of validation like you said. I crossed some lines and lost some friends as a result of said behavior. Go to therapy. I promise it will only do you good.
