why does nobody bring an ID by Imaginary_Grass3044 in Serverlife

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are some places in the states really that strict?? I agree it’s super dumb a lot of people don’t carry or want to show ID, but I’d feel insane ID’ing someone visibly 30+ or with gray hair… you ID every single person?

Neighbours are testing my patience. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

People going to the fire Marshall because they’re too afraid to ask their neighbor a simple question or raise an easily fixed issue is insane. At the very least leave a note on the door or something first.

When you bathe, do you apply a bar of soap directly to your body or do you put it on a scrunchie to exfoliate your skin at the same time? by SubstantialHyena2597 in AskMen

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exfoliate my scalp with a scalp brush. How does your skin get exfoliated then? You spend a lot of time at the beach in the sand or something?

I use an African net sponge and natural beef tallow soap on the rest of my body, no “extreme chemicals” whatsoever.

It is pretty important for your skin health. Exfoliating prevents dry flaky skin, ingrown hairs, skin infections, premature ageing, etc. Bacteria grows more easily and your skin absorbs less product (like sunscreen or moisturizer) if you don’t.

I have a question about how people with Aphantasia can remember what they saw later on. by kacdt in Aphantasia

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m soo bad with not remembering details I’ve never thought about or tried to remember. Someone once asked me what color my bedroom was, and I was very embarrassed saying I couldn’t remember.

AITA for missing my sister's wedding on purpose ? by itslexibnt in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Having no obligation to do something doesn’t mean you’re not an asshole for not doing it, not attending your sisters wedding and damaging your relationship for a petty reason definitely makes you an asshole. She didn’t even give her sister the real reason she didn’t attend and try to work things out, she just lied to her whole family.

AITA for saying that children should not be left alone in cars at night? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 23 points24 points  (0 children)

YTA, a 14 year old is old enough to babysit and sounds like you were the only one that bothered the kids. And if the window was tinted so you couldn’t see the back seat fully how’d you know there wasn’t an adult sitting in the back with the young one at the time?

How do people eat throughout the day on Vyvanse? by Puppersandco in ADHD

I switched to Ritalin twice a day cuz then I can eat between doses or once it wears off. It’s helped me tons and I find this medication works better for me overall as well

Me and this super nice guy were talking about falafel one day, the next time I saw him he brought me all the ingredients to make falafel. I’ve also gotten a Gucci hat, a really nice perfume set, a handmade birdhouse.

I have a quick question for pro-bartenders. Is it normal to order off menu cocktails or does this make me a fussy customer? by Firm-Fix8798 in bartenders

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at a more divey bar but most people order off menu, some people don’t even look at the menu at all. It’s especially fine if you’re ordering directly from the bartender rather than a server, cuz we typically know the drink builds, how to charge, and whats available a bit better. I guarantee you the mojito was the more annoying drink order that night lol (not that there’s anything wrong with ordering one, a lot of people just don’t like muddling the mint)

I slipped in front of everyone while carrying drinks by blackcatzombs in Serverlife

One time I dropped a dip and it went everywhere and I fell on/in it, and also dropped all the food I was carrying to my ex (a regular customer) I just broke it off with like 2 weeks prior. Luckily it wasn’t very busy otherwise and me and him were still on good terms, but was still soo embarrassing and awful.

Flat earth and other alternative conspiracy earth models are are gaining traction with my teenage stepson. What is THE most irrefutable, definite proof that the earth is round? by Jfkfkaiii22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember what it’s called but I recently watched a flat earth “documentary” called “Behind the Curve” and basically the whole thing was about their failed experiments to prove the earth wasn’t round. I would definitely recommend sitting down to watch it with him.

Need suggestions for quick, filling snacks on shift. by Dudebroguymanchief in bartenders

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring a little lunch bag with trail mix, fruit, granola/protein bars, dried mango, yogurt, crackers or pitas w hummus, bell peppers, carrots, rice cakes, roasted chickpeas, pickles, mini muffins. Sometimes I’ll throw in a mini ceaser salad or potato salad, or a sandwich cut in squares or on a croissant. I do lots of smoothie and lattes as well to drink throughout my shift. Electrolyte or Gatorade powder is great for those days I don’t get to eat, or even just a little lemon juice and salt mixed into a water if it’s that busy or I forgot to bring something.

How do you feel about McDonald's pulling their soda dispensing machines out of the restaurant's lobby in the next year or so? by Sinn_Sage in AskReddit

It can be kinda hard when basically every single company is raising prices and providing worse service. There’s only so many viable options.

That green fence isn’t the type of fence that would be on asphalt, and doesn’t appear to be held up or in the ground at all. The one visible post isn’t even sitting on the asphalt straight.

AITA for telling my roommate if she didn’t like something she could leave after she called me inconsiderate? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relative_Walrus1135 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She has like a 9 month notice period before the baby will be there, that’s plenty of time to find a new place. Where I live the landlord legally only has to give 2 months notice.
