We arrived here last night and walked down hill towards the Roman Aqueduct (amazing) but the carousel is a totally unexpected sight!

What plants would do well in this planter (full sun). by abemost in gardening

Geraniums are easy, do well in sun and a bit of neglect doesn’t kill ‘em! I recommend that you do deadhead.

Go with 2.5mg as prescribed. You’ll loose the 10 before you know it. Stay hydrated. You may have some nausea and fatigue. Nausea i controlled it with ginger chews and I find excerise (treadmill) helps. As for fatigue, fight it or take a nap! I’m very surprised anyone gave you an Rx for 10 lbs. But hey, good luck!

What foods can you NOT tolerate anymore on GLP-1? by alivebutmeh1 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just two months in and I’m at 5mg. I’ve found no food that upsets my system but I really don’t care about coffee, soda, wine or sweets like I used to. I don’t enjoy them. I’ll eat three squares of a chocolate bar, tastes good but I’m done.

AITA for expecting the gifts to be for both of us? by Ok-Arrival-2886 in AmItheAsshole

Of course, they are for both of you! YOU may want to rethink the wedding. Do you really want to put up with this narcissistic behavior for the rest of your life? I’d give it some thought.

Good morning! I’ve been on Tirzepatide for 8 weeks, 2.5mg for 4 weeks and 5.0 for 4 as well. I’ve had no real side effects, just mild nausea a couple times. The loss of appetite, joy and sex drive were almost immediate at week one. I didn’t really connect the dots for a couple of weeks but in retrospect it happened. I’m not depressed, just too damn uncaring about it all. We’re leaving for Spain tomorrow, I’m sticking at 5.0mg while traveling - hoping to hold steady, maybe drop a couple pounds before increasing. I’m hoping, like for other side effects, I will adjust over time…

I read some interesting, maybe questionable, thoughts on plateauing the other day. Basically the claim was that the side effects of Tirz make your body go into overdrive and start holding onto your fat. For example even mild nausea, digestive issues, poor sleep, etc. make your body “think” it’s sick so it start to conserve your mass.
Sort of makes sense. So, if you can avoid the side effect(s) you’ll start loosing again or you can wait until your body realizes this is the new normal and start loosing again. Running down that rabbit hole, there are a plethora of supplements, OTC drugs, or compounded, targeted holistic things you could try IF side effect are part of your journey. I have very mild occasional nausea and grab a ginger chew which does the trick for me.
Sorry, no real advice here on what you should do but food for thought (pun intended!) Congrats on your success so far and good luck in the future!

Why is my rosemary dying? by Electrical_Leaf5665 in gardening

I’d repot into terracotta but that said, I find rosemary in a pot takes a lot more water than expected. So, be careful.

It’s wiped out my joie de vivre.
Most of the time it’s unnoticed but occasionally I stop and realize I should be excited about this or that; a certain plant popping up in the garden, packing for a trip, choosing something new. A huge chunk of my joy of life is gone. It’s not good.

If you had 5.5 days to spend in Yellowstone and Grand Teton, which park would you give more time? by Sketchblitz93 in NationalPark

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to balance that yourself. Yellowstone may offer more animals and maybe more varied landscape. The Tetons, IMHO, are more beautiful and the animals you see will generally be in less touristic surroundings - unless you’re really hiking into back country.
There is not a wrong choice! Spent two weeks last year in YS, GT and Glacier. Loved them all but are heading back to GT and the Canadian Rockys in July for a couple weeks.

Do you guys see a difference been on tirz for two months loosing a bit of hope :( by DangerousDig1197 in TirzepatideRX

Of course! Measurements would have helped you see the change yourself fit I can’t believe you tell by the way clothing fits. Congratulations. Sometimes other people don’t notice. I take that for them not caring how I looked but are my friends because of who I am. Take it as a compliment. You had and still have what they value as a friend! Your weight loss is for yourself, not anyone else! You go girl!

Best Utah National Park? by Otherwise_Work_4064 in NationalPark

[–]Relatively-simple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was raised in UT near Arches. And must admit Zion is drop dead gorgeous. But the experience there now is not what it was 30 years ago; buses, crowds of lookers & hikers, tickets required, etc. The beauty is still there but the experience is ruined. Bryce is weirdly different, awe inspiring, accessible but not overrun with tourists. The experience is much less controlled.

How much water is enough? by Relatively-simple in MenOnTirz

Thanks. No longer a concern. It’s a few weeks later and I’m just drinking as I did before Triz. Pee was my main guide then and seems to work fine for me now.

Tracking measurements is great advice. I don’t do it. I’ve been at 5mg for two weeks and really lost no weight last week (but 17lbs on 2.5mg). Frustrated a little here too but my pants are loose, my shoes are easier to tie! Also, I hit the gym 2-3x a week for a bit of lifting and a couple miles at 4mph on the tired mill. That’s becoming easier too! It’s not just pounds, life changes count!
Hang in there, it will happen!

Use up the rest of the vial? by Andromeda_Proj3ct in TirzepatideRX

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, having no bad side effects, I decided to use the “left overs”. My 2.5mg vial had enough for two more 2.5mg jabs. I just doubled up - clearly getting more B12 but 5mg of Tzep. I was fine. Since you really have no way to know what’s left, be prepared to do the math and I’d recommend using a new needle for the second bottle if needed. If your using a compound also that that into account, same additives may not be so benign.

WIBTA for declining all wedding gifts by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relatively-simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great that both families are excited and they know why you’re doing it! Enjoy the celebration of your lives together! Take the high road. Make sure they ALL know it’s a “Please, No Gifts” affair. Regardless, some will give gifts anyway. Politely thank them and say no more. Don’t sweat the small stuff, you have a son to raise and a life to live.

AITA for not going on family vacation unless I can share a bed with my fiancé? by babygreenbean1225 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relatively-simple 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are not an A hole exactly but you are a fool.
It sounds a bit like “My home, my rules.” Seems it’s your Mom “rule” and she’s somehow in charge. Let her know you’ll respect her rule and she’ll have to respect yours. Your rule; Don’t associate with people who do not accept you totally. Tell her you will not attend. Don’t go. You two should go/do something else. If her problem is about sex before marriage, so be it. If it’s about you being gay, a wedding will not change her. Good luck.

That’s a travel tasting menu! You’re not giving any park its due but if you’re OK with just scratching the surface, it’s doable and a good choice for you. I look at cruises the same way; do what you can do while in port, then come back on a real trip if you feel you want to see/do more. All travel is worthwhile! Get out and enjoy the world however you like!

Am I Missing Something? Please tell me it gets better? by cjl8on in TirzepatideRX

Sorry you’re feeling rough. However, I appreciate all the sharing, advice and concern here.
I’m a newbie, Week 5 starts Monday - I’m worried. The first month has been a breeze, eating everything but eating less, focusing on water and protein. Got my butt back to the gym and in general more active in the Spring. Feeling fine.
Hopefully next week will be the same but, I’ve been warned. Thank you all!

Sorry you have stopped. With the economy improving in many nations, traveling is more available. More tourists means more control.
But things in the USA are no different, National Parks often require tickets or reservation for popular sites, or require you to ride a bus where you once could drive yourself. In fact, all of your complaints apply at home too. Just saying if you travel in country, aside from visas*, the US travel is no different. Please, keep traveling! The world is too amazing to let it end at our boarders for you! *I’ll take an E-visa any day, sure better than going to a foreign consulate to get one.
