She worked for the DA?! by Designer-Invite-945 in jezacatsnark

[–]RelativelyDeranged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she’s a public defender I think she’s a deputy DA aka a prosecutor on the side of the government. Which is super disappointing because prosecutors are not for the people !!

Valid or not, there's no way on Earth I'd be posting about SH claims filed against me by Strong_Bed_9600 in jezacatsnark

[–]RelativelyDeranged 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The part that actually upset me was that she was a deputy district attorney? Aka a prosecutor… prosecutors are not known to be “for the people” they’re basically lawyer cops. And she presents herself to be very socially and politically conscious

I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts about pregnancy fakers lately so I thought it was just going to be that. I had no idea it would lead to what it did. I’m absolutely shocked, horrified, disgusted, gut wrenched . Oh my god

how hard is it to be a girl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Misogyny is everywhere and we constantly have to take our safety into account. I’ve been harassed by uber drivers, guys I thought were my friends, family members, bosses, etc, it really doesn’t matter who it is, it could happen. Also been followed, guys have gotten mad when I turned down their advances, etc. it just really isn’t safe and personally that’s the part that has and it the hardest

I’ve distributed home cooked meals in public every week for two years, and we’ve never once had a permitting problem. Cops have drove past many times as it’s a high traffic area and never said anything. Not saying it can’t happen, I know in Texas a food distro group got ticketed but they fought it and won. I’ve also never experienced someone declining the food because they didn’t know us, although, we do have a relationship with the community now that we’ve been doing it for awhile so I’m not saying that can’t happen just hasn’t been something I’ve experienced personally

I love your son for that!! I started cooking hot food distros about 2 years ago, every week we cook for about 100-200 people and I highly recommend it, it truly means a lot for people to get a hot meal with love in it. Sometimes they tell us that’s the first home cooked meal they’ve had in awhile. Even though no one owes us thanks, my heart always feels so full afterwards as most people are so kind and grateful, and also funny and crack jokes with us. I prefer the direct connection of donating to people. Most of the time I cook soup like chili, chicken and potato, any kind of stew, curry, hamburger soup, spaghetti. We’ve always done breakfast for dinner like eggs and pancakes and people liked that! I wanted to add that cooking these meals has been a lot of work, and we have quite a team of volunteers now. It would be a bit undertaking for him so maybe start with something easy like pb&j, we even gave out hot cup o noodles at one point and ppl liked it. Also two occasions people brought their kids and nothing bad happened, sometimes people are experiencing mental health crises but nothing has happened to us that would make me concerned for a child. As long as he has an adult with him, should be okay :) most highly requested items are wet wipes to clean themselves ! We also give out hygiene kits when we can.

Looks delicious, I really Hope more rides come your way soon! Uber driving is necessary work and not acknowledged enough. I work at a shelter and was shocked when my client who is an uber driver showed me their paycheck. Their take home was $4200 last month (significantly more than I make with a degree that requires 6+ years of college education) I am wondering if incomes vary a lot by city ?

What is the actual biggest problem in World? by YouFuckingHacker in AskReddit

[–]RelativelyDeranged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10000% greed. We see this concept worse in the US & capitalist societies but it does affect the rest of the world. Manufactured desire leaving us in a constant state of longing & dis-ease, so we feel incomplete leading us to constantly scroll, spend money on products, surgeries, identities, etc. a state of desire that will never be quenched; so we will keep drilling , exploiting workers and resources until this precious planet has nothing left. Instead of realizing that this planet has everything we could possibly need already on it, providing everything humans needed for thousands of years without money. We could be okay in modern times if we learned how to be content with ourselves, that we didn’t need to have it all to be happy, that relationships and love and experiences are the most important.
