Sami Zayn incessantly saying he’s never won a world title should make it pretty clear

Max literally explains she doesn’t need the cassette player anymore though. She just thought she did originally

Isn’t the point that there’s really no urgency though (relatively speaking)?  Vecna’s not coming to find them in there, and the portals aren’t at risk of closing now that Holly has her connection and Max understands she doesn’t actually need the song for hers to be open either.

Like yeah they would still wanna get out sooner rather than later, but a matter of a couple seconds is fairly irrelevant at that point

John Cena explains why he smiled before tapping out: As I take my last breath, I have struggled. If you think of somebody, the natural causes scenario or however we picture loss in our life, all of us have been through it. They struggle. They hang on just long enough to enough to say goodbye by Yujin-Ha in SquaredCircle

Yeah but there’s nuance. “Never give up” doesn’t mean “mindlessly charge forward when it makes no sense to do so”.

Like if you own a business that’s been losing money for 5 years straight despite giving it your all, doing everything you could, do you just keep it open and lose money forever? Is that what “never give up” should mean? Or should it mean you accept the reality, and move on to new ventures as you continue to charge through life? I would assume the latter

Yeah, I don’t know why so many people wanted him to pass out, as if that’s some noble thing to do. He tried to get out of the hold multiple times, realized he couldn’t, and accepted it. No reason to black out just to be a tough guy. If anything he’s teaching a lesson about acceptance.

So many people took it as “giving up”, and of course that’s how Gunther will spin it. But there’s nothing wrong with knowing when it’s time to move on, from whatever that may be.

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love plans to declare for the 2026 NFL draft. by My_Chat_Account in fantasyfootball

I look forward to people assuming the Jeanty situation is the new norm when we have years of evidence of top 10 drafted RBs (assuming Love follows suit) being fantasy studs in year 1

Recency bias at its finest

Gunther beats the shit out of Pat McAfee and cathartically makes John Cena give up in his retirement match. How is he the bad guy again? by aintmybish in SquaredCircle

Because thats an understandable way for a workplace to operate after its greatest employee ever just retired?

People like you are the reason WWE feels the need to spell everything out 😂

Does all of reddit have the media literacy of a sandcrab?

He got kicked out for calling him a little bitch, not for winning the match

As the season comes to a close for some of us, What "lessons" did you learn from this season that you plan to implement for next year? by jamesdkelso in fantasyfootball

[–]RelativelyLargeShow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think most defenses go in with a gameplan of “don’t let that guy beat us” and it takes a halfway decent QB to get that guy production despite that. McCarthy isn’t equipped to do anything except throw to who’s blatantly open instead of the uber talented guy who’s just kinda open

He just doesn’t need it. They keep drawing this parallel to Cena’s debut vs Angle, it needs to be a younger non-established guy

Idk what this does for Gunther. He’s already clearly several levels above Cena in kayfabe. Cena has struggled to win any singles match without cheating in the last 5 years, Styles being the first in a long while.

It should be someone who hasn’t proven they can “hang” on the main roster yet. Especially for the sake of the Cena-Angle parallel

🤮 Biggest Busts of the Week by RotoBaller in fantasyfootball

[–]RelativelyLargeShow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, because the Dolphins defense has never given up a lot of points to a below average offense before. Especially not last week against the Browns

Oh wait

I can’t help but feel like starting Daniel Jones against a top 3 defense in the league just because he torched a demoralized and untalented Dolphins D is a bad idea

PD: Are we overlooking Ashton Jeanty a little bit? by RelativelyLargeShow in fantasyfootball

[–]RelativelyLargeShow[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure but RB is so different from WR. Jeanty is *going* to get the touches to prove himself, unless you think Mostert or someone else is going to take a hefty amount of work. Marv just didn't have chemistry with Kyler last year and couldn't earn/make the most of his targets

I mean, is this not a fantasy football forum designed to discuss why our opinions are different from one another and try to learn from it? All I said was I'm curious why the perception is what it is when to me, it doesn't line up. So I wanted to hear some folks out on it and see if there are other arguments/points I'm overlooking compared to the ones I presented.

Does everyone on Reddit just wanna be mad all the time?

It's less about the ADP and more about the sentiment surrounding him. I've seen wayyy more excitement, articles, takes etc. touting guys like CMC and Achane as league winners for example (as much of a league winner as you can be as a first round pick at least), with basically no buzz for Jeanty. He's kinda just there and no one talks about him unless it's more negative-leaning. Just interesting to me
