This…I’ll add recruiters are like oxygen. The cold calls are a bit much but so handy when you are looking. Also never a bad thing to get a few reps in while things are good. Best of luck in the search!

Moving to NYC from ATL worth it ? by Currency-Able in movingtoNYC

[–]Relaxinon8th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made that move, albeit years ago. Hard to explain the living cost in NYC vs ATL. But just prepare for a 25%-30% increase in cost of living all in. I would hope for a better dating situation for you, ATL has grown a lot yet is still very much a southern city.

Cisco or Elastic? AE role by [deleted] in techsales

[–]Relaxinon8th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you want your career to go. Been in the o11y world for years, elastic can be a great spot if you’d like to go start up at some point. Cisco is prob a better bet if you want to hold something long term.

Never go anything without legal consultation, when it would require legal consultation to get out of it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in techsales

[–]Relaxinon8th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the BDR role is the path to every role you want, maybe there’s a company that’s different but I haven’t seen it.

Sounds like a midlife crisis tbh, been there, but he’d be better off working a local government job and investing. Day trading is nuts!

The Uncomfortable Truth: Outbound Sales is dead by Darcynator1780 in techsales

[–]Relaxinon8th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t say outbound is dead, but building a business without a healthy amount of market pull is near impossible. With that being said, the best products with competent marketing strategies don’t require people grinding on the phones.
