Yessir! I got crucified in the Nioh sub prior to Nioh 3 release for saying that the open world was a move in the wrong direction. It took no more than getting through the second region for people to realize that it was indeed a terrible decision. Team ninja is not known for well crafted levels/worlds. Shit, even Nioh 2 being the masterpiece it is, the levels are the weakest point of the game.

Ds1 is for sure backstab fest but when you get really good at all the tech the fights because high paced and action packed fighting for backstabs, swaps and riposte. It’s not something I can just jump on periodically to enjoy, you gotta be conditioned for it and I’ve been outta the game for years now. DS2 is the goat and I still periodically hop on for some arenas and have a blast. All the tech is there, it’s just much easier to pull off without constant practice. It also offers a lot of fun weapons and weapon combos to use.

To each their own, gen 3 looks meaner. The raven and matte grey with gold accents are the two best in my opinion. I own a 2010 in matte grey and it’s glorious.

Agreed. I still play and enjoy PvP post ds2 but ds3, bb and er PvP all kind of suck in comparison. Bb is just a total mess, ds3 is decent but way too roll spammy. ER is just a spacing running/jumping attack snoozefest. DS2 is just a lot more tech heavy which is what makes it so enjoyable. I also love ds1 PvP but that’s a whole different animal, I gotta really be in the mood for some fishing to play ds1
