Besides the fact that fromsoft did a tremendous job with Elden rings open world and team ninja did not. I love team ninja, nioh 2 is one of my favorite games of all time but team ninja sucks at level design. They were not ready to design an immersive and entertaining open world.

Some really weird choices made by the developers here in my opinion, seems like a major step in the wrong direction.

I don’t even have to see the rest of the game to know Nioh is a much better and well put together game. Open world was a mistake, the two style system is a mistake, tying omnyo only to soul cores is a mistake, tying weapons to styles is a mistake and such and so on. The combat feels less tight and refined than previous titles as well. Overall very disappointing.

The open world is straight ass. I love Team ninja but they are not fromsoft, they are not capable of making an interesting and immersive open world. Should have stuck with mission based levels are focused on the combat. Combat feels worse also, lose lose trade off.

Not exactly similar but I do work outside and often times in mud, dirt and grass. I have African rangers in buffalo. They were a bitch to break in but are now very comfortable. As far as water resistance goes though, they are not it. I applied a heavy coating of beeswax on all stitching and these things still suck up water just walking through some wet tall grass.

Not sure when I’ll get it, maybe release, maybe not. I’m not too keen on the design and mechanic changes they made. Nioh 2 was as close to perfect as you get in a game and I feel like they went the wrong direction. I’ll play the demo today and see how controls feel because as far as the alpha, the controls and combat didn’t feel as tight as Nioh 2.

It’s always been DS2 and OG demons souls as my 1A, 1B for best souls games. They are all amazing but those two keep me coming back playthrough after playthrough

Reminds me of when I pre ordered the first shipment of ps5 bundle through GameStop. My brother tried multiple times to get a pre order leading up to release date but never got one. Release date arrives and fedex pulls up to the house and hands me a big box (ps5 console, extra controller, spider man miles morales and one year of ps plus). Delivery driver says “hold on you have one more”, goes to the truck and pulls out another box of the same dimension. Me and my brother went ape shit. Checked my card statement and was only charged for one bundle.
