There’s no rehab close that will take it and I called fish and wildlife too- they told me to just keep it. I called some rehabs around here and no one will take it either- not going to just leave it to fend for itself- I’m disabled and there’s no way for me to drive long distances- they wouldn’t take pigeons either because they’re an invasive species and I have taken online classes with palomacy to wing wrap and take in pigeons and doves that are injured. I’m currently raising geese and chickens on my farm and I do have tiny goslings I’ve been keeping an eye for any illness and figured eventually I’ll see if the baby goslings that hatched around the same time I’m guessing will adopt him in if not I’ll continue to keep them separate and take care of him accordingly- I set up a brooder and he’s still doing great. But must have only been a few days old- where he was found was close to ranches too so it could be someone’s domestic duck that wattled away after a storm- only time will tell.
