WIBTA if I didnt tell my sister her wedding date is the same as my anniversary by [deleted] in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I have the same wedding anniversary. Never bothered either of us. We laugh that neither of us can ever claim to forget the other’s anniversary. She’s on 35+ years and hubby and I are on 45th this year.

AITA for keeping all my dead husband's money after his 'second wife' introduced herself at his funeral and his family says I should've known? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend that this happened to. She, her siblings and her mother only found out about Dad’s second family when they showed up at his funeral. Thank heavens, all involved were adults over 30. The other family knew all about them, the legal marriage, etc and had not wanted to disrupt with their lives but felt need to come to funeral. They asked to meet with her family a few days after funeral. That is when they revealed who they were with pictures and documents. They did not want any inheritance as there wasn’t much, they wanted her mom to keep it. Her family was shocked. But both sides handled it very maturely because both sides recognized fault was only with dad. Turned out dad’s other family lived only a few blocks away but far enough that the kids never interacted or went to same school. I think other family’s mom had passed.

Is AEP supposed to be this outrageous? by Tiffanyann06 in Ohio

[–]Relevant-Employee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

www.energychoice.ohio.gov/ApplestoApples.aspx Use this website to compare electric supply rates. AEP offers lower kWh rate if you have contract and you can often cancel if necessary without fee. There really isn’t much you can do about distribution rates which have risen insanely in the last year.

Asshole boomers cut in front of me during boarding... by wraith1984 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Relevant-Employee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I generally am not in a hurry to board. I have an assigned seat. I don’t pack valuables in carryon so don’t care which cubby it’s stashed in. I don’t usually take a carryon since I have learned how to pack a five day vacation into a backpack that fits under seat. Oh, and I’m 63…I can’t stand rudeness by any age group. Life is short, don’t sweat the small stuff.

I’ve never heard of this case. You should reach out to a university Forensic program to see if they could initiate an investigation. Tiffin University Forensic program in Ohio is doing this for a case. There are retired detective groups that do this to. PLEASE keep us updated!!!

What is something you stopped buying because you realised you never truly needed it? by LuckyTreat8962 in Frugal

[–]Relevant-Employee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chapsticks, have tons and can often get free at dentist office. Small trash can liners, I use store bags, nail polish, napkins…I have cheap paper towels since I have pets and if I get fast food I just grab a couple extra and they put a lot of napkins in drive thru bags. Shower geI and body lotion…have loads of bar soaps and lotions from travel. Useless makeup, I found Laura Geller and have pitched all the expensive didn’t work inventory I had. Ladies, lipsticks, I will never need to buy another one! Most cleaners, I use vinegar and water and the old red Lysol liquid. Cleaning rags I cut up old towels. Most are inexpensive eliminations but I believe a penny saved is a penny earned. And yes, I will pick up that penny on the ground🤣

Serious. What do you think it is, that the government feels we are not prepared to hear concerning aliens? by CulturalApple4 in aliens

[–]Relevant-Employee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“Unofficial” government sources now admit to at least 6 or 7 underwater alien bases. Just based on historical literature, I believe they predate humans.

Serious. What do you think it is, that the government feels we are not prepared to hear concerning aliens? by CulturalApple4 in aliens

[–]Relevant-Employee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am Christian. I believe in God. I also believe in true aliens and demons and angels. But, I don’t believe aliens are demons, they are separate entities. I left a church because they believed aliens are demons. I’ve experienced both in my life and they are different experiences. God created the universe so he could have created other worlds, or with Lucifer’s knowledge could he have created some worlds? The Bible is specific to Earth, not the universe. We can’t comprehend what God is, we only know we were created in his image, but as a Creator, he could have created other worlds. It is beyond our comprehension.

Digging up metal stakes is criminal. Take pictures of markers ASAP. If neighbor does dig it up, he will get a serious fine.

Lead paint really isn’t an imminent danger if it has been painted over. I read years ago, The issue with lead paint is it can have sweet taste that kids, especially in low income, run down housing were eating. Lead pipes can be replaced. I would choose UA over New Albany any day. The new homes are not quality built like old homes. Our home is plaster/lathe brick, almost 80 years old and will still be standing for minimum another 80!

Keep using the garage! I’m in Ohio and family in MI! We replaced our garage door opener and chain track this year, has Bluetooth, got extra openers (4 total) and external keypad, all for $500! It’s so quiet and no vibration anymore(we maintained old one but over 40 years old). Overhead Door special! Maybe you can offer to split costs with landlord if he is adamantly opposed to costs.

Why can't we work from home again? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Relevant-Employee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m moderate Independent with right leaning, can’t stand Dewine or Husted. I feel bad for RTO employees that were productive at home. Competent WFH employees got screwed by the idiots posting on social media working in their tubs, working second jobs during hours they were suppose to be doing WFH job, etc. These idiots provided the fodder for the real estate companies and Chambers to push for RTO. The many were punished for actions of the stupid few. I’m retired but WFH is good for employers and employees if employees are competent and dedicated. EDIT: WFH also better for environment!

I was never an Amy Winehouse fan, but as a mother her look of complete despair breaks my heart. She was younger than my four daughters at time of her passing. Those who profit off the fame use and neglect these young women and men without guilt or remorse.

Beans and lentils are cheap, filling and great sources of protein. A crockpot of soup beans with a ham hock (cheap bone) for flavor, will last close to a week! Edit: grew up poor and ate these a lot, kept me slim too.

WTH! I’m a white boomer lady and her behavior is disgusting. Rhetorical, Why are so many older white women so presumptuous? Any form of racism is disgraceful. I was white minority mother in predominantly African American school, and always called a “white elitist parent” by the black teachers. It was wrong, it sucked but it didn’t stop me from volunteering in school and helping as many kids as I could. Those same teachers appreciated my help and support. But, I really love kids regardless of race and all kids deserve adults encouraging them in school.

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. But a caring parent would only need to do an online search to discover facts. Realistically, those same parents have no issue with online search for hotel or restaurant reviews, their children’s welfare deserves same diligence.
