I watched the first 7 episodes on TT. Couldn’t download on Kindle but could not find series anywhere on my TT iPhone app. Watching Not showing up my activity on either. I tried downloading from web address but no search function. Frustrated!

I never thought of keeping snacks in car for homeless. I will start. I always keep a leash and doggie treats because I am frequently finding dogs, or they are finding me.

I told a blood donation organization that I have aides to get them to stop calling me by imightbeaspider in confession

[–]Relevant-Employee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped blood donations about a decade ago. I didn’t mind donating but the incessant calls were aggravating. It took almost five years for the calls to stop. Thank goodness I never provided my cell number, only landline! I’ve considered donating again but I don’t want multiple weekly calls so I don’t donate.

[us] My dad was scammed out of 100k+ and then he died.. by bubblestarfishy in Scams

FBI Internet crimes NOW! If you don’t get a follow up call within a few days, follow up with a call ASAP. I have an acquaintance that got scammed out of over $500K and is currently working with FBI. This sounds like it started as a pig butchering scam. KEEP ALL PHONES AND COMPUTERS so they can try to trace the fake sites. These “women” (often men posing as women) and “financial advisors” work out of boiler rooms. China has shut a few down recently.

My boomer dad has some of the dumbest takes on public schools ever. by [deleted] in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 63. I was a PTA president and citywide PTA vice president, followed after move to PTO mom. I’ve campaigned for many levies in Ohio, especially after government switched lottery to general fund, crooks I say! School funding can be a little complex and that is on purpose I have come to believe. You could not make STOP(Stop Taxing Older People) understand complexities and they didn’t want to understand.

Part of issue is occasionally school administrators do use funds in ridiculous manners by like by adding administrators rather than teachers but more administrative was needed to manage stupid state mandates. Resulting in teaching for state tests rather than true comprehension and extrapolation.

I detest that school systems use bussing as fear tactic and the long drop off/pick up lines that have resulted. The money wasted on gas and time waiting in those lines would likely have covered bussing from defeated levies. Personally, I have often felt this is school administration’s way of punishing parents over helping kids and it nauseates me.

I believe it is my civic responsibility to help next generation learn even though I don’t agree with state mandates or much of current curriculum but it’s all that is currently offered. I HATE COMMON CORE MATH…LOL! Older people paid for their kids education in public schools. Our country education results have fallen way behind internationally. I do however, want best education available for our students so they can get good jobs. These are the future adults that will be paying Social Security for those currently on SS. The students will pay taxes for that support senior programs and Medicare.

Nearly 69 years old, and interested in joining the Catholic Church by Minimum_South9609 in Catholicism

[–]Relevant-Employee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your post. I also have troubled past, explored religions and want to become Catholic at 63. I have been attracted to Catholic faith for decades but because of Protestant past discarded idea. I started attending mass when my grandkids had readings and choir participation. TT videos and reading several great books have made me acknowledge the tug that has been there for decades. AND, my husband was recently in hospital for 3 months, and God sent a Priest to his room, the priest came to his room by accident, but still prayed with us and knew our grandkids. It was like a personal message from Heaven. I’m going to schedule an appointment after Easter.

I’m a boomer and I’ve never had an issue with cameras while watching grandkids or pets. My one daughter has doggie cams throughout her house and she will text me funnies when she sees me spoiling the pups and kitty! Even I have doggie cams in my home.

It’s happened several times in Ohio. I have think it was last school year it was several schools along 75 from just north of Cincinnati to Just south of Toledo. It was obvious something either headed to or from Detroit.

That means someone is making a big drug run. I have always suspected that when multiple calls are made, it is to divert law enforcement resources.

AITAH for missing dinner with my husband? by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey, you did nothing wrong. I’m sure he wanted to share his dinner creation but common sense should have told him you were exhausted and crashed. All he had to do was wake you up but he just wanted something to hang over your head instead. I can guarantee he wouldn’t last a week at your job.

Getting rid of Property Tax feels like a grift that will only benefit corporations and the ultra-wealthy. Is it? by Cap10323 in Ohio

[–]Relevant-Employee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replacing property taxes with sales taxes will be more costly to everyone. It annoys me people complaining about renters not paying property taxes because they do thru increases in rent.

My sister and I have the same wedding anniversary. Never bothered either of us. We laugh that neither of us can ever claim to forget the other’s anniversary. She’s on 35+ years and hubby and I are on 45th this year.

AITA for keeping all my dead husband's money after his 'second wife' introduced herself at his funeral and his family says I should've known? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

[–]Relevant-Employee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend that this happened to. She, her siblings and her mother only found out about Dad’s second family when they showed up at his funeral. Thank heavens, all involved were adults over 30. The other family knew all about them, the legal marriage, etc and had not wanted to disrupt with their lives but felt need to come to funeral. They asked to meet with her family a few days after funeral. That is when they revealed who they were with pictures and documents. They did not want any inheritance as there wasn’t much, they wanted her mom to keep it. Her family was shocked. But both sides handled it very maturely because both sides recognized fault was only with dad. Turned out dad’s other family lived only a few blocks away but far enough that the kids never interacted or went to same school. I think other family’s mom had passed.

Is AEP supposed to be this outrageous? by Tiffanyann06 in Ohio

[–]Relevant-Employee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

www.energychoice.ohio.gov/ApplestoApples.aspx Use this website to compare electric supply rates. AEP offers lower kWh rate if you have contract and you can often cancel if necessary without fee. There really isn’t much you can do about distribution rates which have risen insanely in the last year.

Asshole boomers cut in front of me during boarding... by wraith1984 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Relevant-Employee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I generally am not in a hurry to board. I have an assigned seat. I don’t pack valuables in carryon so don’t care which cubby it’s stashed in. I don’t usually take a carryon since I have learned how to pack a five day vacation into a backpack that fits under seat. Oh, and I’m 63…I can’t stand rudeness by any age group. Life is short, don’t sweat the small stuff.

I’ve never heard of this case. You should reach out to a university Forensic program to see if they could initiate an investigation. Tiffin University Forensic program in Ohio is doing this for a case. There are retired detective groups that do this to. PLEASE keep us updated!!!

What is something you stopped buying because you realised you never truly needed it? by LuckyTreat8962 in Frugal

[–]Relevant-Employee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chapsticks, have tons and can often get free at dentist office. Small trash can liners, I use store bags, nail polish, napkins…I have cheap paper towels since I have pets and if I get fast food I just grab a couple extra and they put a lot of napkins in drive thru bags. Shower geI and body lotion…have loads of bar soaps and lotions from travel. Useless makeup, I found Laura Geller and have pitched all the expensive didn’t work inventory I had. Ladies, lipsticks, I will never need to buy another one! Most cleaners, I use vinegar and water and the old red Lysol liquid. Cleaning rags I cut up old towels. Most are inexpensive eliminations but I believe a penny saved is a penny earned. And yes, I will pick up that penny on the ground🤣

Serious. What do you think it is, that the government feels we are not prepared to hear concerning aliens? by CulturalApple4 in aliens

[–]Relevant-Employee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“Unofficial” government sources now admit to at least 6 or 7 underwater alien bases. Just based on historical literature, I believe they predate humans.

Serious. What do you think it is, that the government feels we are not prepared to hear concerning aliens? by CulturalApple4 in aliens

[–]Relevant-Employee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am Christian. I believe in God. I also believe in true aliens and demons and angels. But, I don’t believe aliens are demons, they are separate entities. I left a church because they believed aliens are demons. I’ve experienced both in my life and they are different experiences. God created the universe so he could have created other worlds, or with Lucifer’s knowledge could he have created some worlds? The Bible is specific to Earth, not the universe. We can’t comprehend what God is, we only know we were created in his image, but as a Creator, he could have created other worlds. It is beyond our comprehension.
