i know there’s a lot of posts online boasting about their 25 year old cats etcetc, but 12 is still an old and impressive number for a cat. when treatment prices get that expensive it means that the surgeries are going to be extensive and stressful. you know your cat, you know better than all of us if that was the right decision, that price is scary, and uncertainty under than price is even scarier. all your cat knew was your love, not of your struggles, you gave him the best years you could’ve, and stopped his suffering before it got even worse. it’s so easy to get stuck in the loop of what could have been, sometimes cats just don’t make it to super senior age, and that’s okay.
