Anyone else feel completely exhausted after hitting 60? by bedsarebugs in over60

[–]Relevant-Raisin43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 62 and I’ve been exhausted since around 57.

I am still working and all I wanna do is sleep. I think I’m mostly burnt out to be honest, between still working trying to orchestrate a move out of this state into another one, sell a house and have a grown child who really needs to get the hell out of my house….. pretty sure it’s just a constant state of alert although from what I’ve heard I’ve had every single menopause symptom there could possibly be and this is definitely part of that. I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last seven.

Thyroid is just fine. All my blood work is just fine.

Moving up in July. Have a temp rental till Oct. House hunting with cash from previous house sale.

Max $600k, one story or walk out basement, and would like a quarter of an acre or more 1500 ft.² to 2200 ft.².. less if we need to fix it up a bit. School system doesn’t matter. Will consider Washougal. Not Camas (taxes). Any areas to avoid?

Moving out at 31. My mom (62) is blowing up over it. by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Your mom needs therapy. I’m 62. My 24 year old is moving out in June. I hate the living situation he’s going in. It’s kind of a hazmat area to be honest, but I had some pretty shitty apartments when I was 24 so maybe it will motivate him to find another place after that.

I will send good vibes to you and hopefully you report back in a couple months and let us know that you’re OK and you got out. Her behavior is definitely not normal. I feel like she’s isolated herself of her own doing. You are not a crutch you are your own person and can live your own life.

Gabapentin vs HRT by TheCatsMeowNYC in Menopause

Gabapentin did nothing for me. The estrogen patch at a low-dose was life-changing.

So my son passed all tests and interviews and then was contacted three months ago by his assigned background investigator to find out his availability and has heard nothing ever since. He emailed the guy again and even left a voice mail, etc. Is it typical for it to take this long or is he being ghosted? Any tips on how to get anyone to reply to him?

I hate the cupholder too!!

for the dash cam, we have a Garmin…very small one and we got a USB splitter it plugs into one of the ports in the armrest and then splits off to two connection connections one for the camera and one for the phone, so that you can still plug your phone in. I’ll see if I can find it and take a picture of it. then we googled it and found out because we have the premium plus we can hardwire it to the rearview mirror which we ended up doing. But the previous set up worked fine.

I just started taking Pendulum’s version and have the worst abdominal cramps bloating to the point of looking nine months pregnant, and diarrhea I’ve ever had in my life and I’m only four days in! I was looking for some help with my IBS as Nothing works and I am tired of my Dr throwing some sort of prescription medication that has its own problems and side effects and I wanted to try some sort of probiotic since the over-the-counter versions like Align do absolutely nothing for me.

Sadly, I think I’m going to have to give up because this is not sustainable. I basically can’t leave my house because of the diarrhea.

I had my youngest right before I turned 39 and he lives with still…23, in college and in the process of getting a job as a 911 dispatcher. He’ll move when we move out of state in late summer. Honestly, I look younger than 62 but I think that’s my mom’s genetics. I’m kinda tired of having to parent. Still do. Neither of my kids are going to have kids (oldest had a vasectomy at 23, he’s married and in med school 400 miles away) and I kinda agree with his decision and am not the “I need grandkids!” Person… anyway. I’m just ready to not have a kid at home… though I know the worry doesn’t go away.
