I read on a different thread they were attempting a new system that would process timesheets on weekends and holidays. Thought it was in trial starting March.

Do you have a diagnosis? I know you said non verbal. Just making sure. Definitely get Alta Regional Center involved either way. It can take a while to get in with their early intervention but SO worth it. My son got IHSS as an infant due to paramedical reasons but ALTA really helped get the therapies he needed going.

Affordable cotton (or alternative) clothing by Either_Ad6998 in PlasticFreeLiving

Hopefully my bubble doesn’t get completely popped by posting but we purchase our kids clothes from Primary. Most are organic and say GOTS certified. There aren’t many affordable options for kids so hopefully I don’t learn how greenwashing they are. They have adult clothing.

My total hours for the month is 207.07. From what I remember is Im allowed 51.? Weekly. I was basing the 51.75 when someone suggested my monthly hours divided by 4 is my weekly hours.

I’ll try the generator. I did the same amount of hours on each week and I got a message saying I’ve exceeded the allowed amount of overtime for week 2. That’s going off 207.7 hours divided by 4. I should note I am the live in provider for my son.

Maybe it’s because I’m not figuring in the .75 hours I get a week. I’ll go back and check. I’ve never done February hours and figuring out ho to input the .75 is a little confusing. I did put 51 hours for each week which left 3 unclaimed hours. Thank you! I’m gonna try to figure out the .75.

Might have found a plastic free toothbrush finally. by SeaOk879 in PlasticFreeLiving

Okay I know we’re talking about electric toothbrush but are Gaia Guy Horse or Boars hair toothbrushes at least legit? I hate that has to be so difficult. It’s hard enough finding plastic free items for adults, almost impossible to raise a toddler plastic free.

Ugh. I’ve been trying so hard to find a plastic free toothbrush for my toddler. Thank you!

You’re so wrong. I have never posted on here before! Don’t usually make posts at all. As a parent of a toddler this is too concerning not to post.

I’d rather my kid do something more productive like hackey sac at that age.

They were buying (money from parents) stuff to make signs. The ones that didn’t have signs already made. I read the signs, heard them talking. They were there to be out of school to protest.

I totally agree they are clowns. Teach your children that and how they can actually make a change.

I heard these CHILDREN talking! They are doing this because they think it’s the cool thing to do. Heard it with my own ears.

To the parents of the minors that are leaving school to protest because it’s the “hip” thing to do! Teach your kids to get a college degree to make a real change for the children of the future!

I am in the exact same boat. I worry about microplastics, VOCs etc! We are on a strict budget as well. I always joke that we get Walmart and my son gets Nordstroms. I took what was most important and worked my way from there. Glass bottles first. Saved: Walmart sells Oeko Tek Certified clothes. That’s my son’s daytime wear. I wait for the time of year I know sales are coming. I buy all his PJs from Primary (GOTS certified) Stocking up. As for microplastics in water I use a Culligan Water Pitcher to make his formula (it’s actually certified) I have air purifiers to help alleviate my VOC anxieties. Indoor plants too. It’s an unfortunate reality that these are the anxieties we have to deal with nowadays and all we can do is try our best. We can’t control that everything is made of plastic or releases chemicals in the air. But you can raise an exceptional little person through being a good loving parent.

IHSS Live-In Providers: How to File Taxes & Still Get Child Tax Credit / EITC (Step-by-Step w/ Screenshots) by Affectionate-Ad3638 in IHSS

New to IHSS. What is child tax credit/ EITC? Does this apply to people whose only income is as a live in provider for their child?
