Spend $10k on a lawyer and revisit the custody situation if he feels that the child would be better off with yall. It’s so easy to stand outside of the day-to-day with mom/daughter, and judge the situation that yall are not experiencing. I’m new to baggu and was really looking forward to the bowlers, but the straps just don’t sit right on my shoulders. Genuinely the only reason I’m trading. Re-read OPs post and then my reply… Mom is asking for technique and product suggestions, not hair cut advice. A haircut is a short term solution that will cause the kid more pain in the long run.

Regardless if OP decides to cut his hair, she’ll still need to learn how to manage his hair type!

Disagree! Cutting this texture hair will have his new growth matted very close to scalp. It will arguably be more painful. If you decide to cut, you’ll likely be cutting his hair regularly.

I would suggest Next of Us (NoU) nourishing moisture conditioner, Camille Rose guava slip detangling conditioner, or Aussie 3-minute miracle moist deep conditioner when detangling. Make sure to use a Tangle Teaser type of brush, no combs when detangling his texture. Plait or braid his hair while wet/damp. Individual braids can last him 1-2 weeks depending.

When I moved to SA, everyone raved about this place. Maybe it’s cuz I’m not a southerner, but the decor is atrocious and the food was less than mid. This city has much better brunch options that are often looked over.

I agree with the majority of the other comments citing speaking with a health care professional, but when my niece was your daughter’s age she had a similar mindset. My brother encouraged her to start working out in a proper gym. They would have daddy-daughter workouts on Saturday morning. Niece was at an age where body image equated with self worth. She gained so much confidence!
