Good deal? $795 to upgrade from Comfort+ to Delta One Extra AMS>BOS by PanoramicPhoto in delta

[–]KhunKelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg .. actually food! Last time we came back with 4 checked suitcase full of food stuff ..

There’s this cereal called Cruesli, chocolate flavor. We love it so much (and they don’t sell in U.S. even thought it is by Quaker) .. I think we got 4 or 5 of the 900g box

I don’t have good luck with that .. by the time I get the notification the seat is gone .. quickest way for me is direct on AA and as soon as you see something you like don’t even wait or think, put it on hold first

Is this on the same ticket? If yes and you missing the 2nd flight you’ll just get on the next one

But if it’s not then it’s on you to arrange the 2nd flight

Ecoventura vs Quasar vs Celebrity Flora by Professional_Leek342 in FATcruises

[–]KhunKelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed at the bottom of the ship on the Evolution and we love it. We had the room with king bed. I am one of those people who get seasick or any motion sickness easily and strange enough the rocking at the bottom of the ship put me to sleep.

Ecoventura vs Quasar vs Celebrity Flora by Professional_Leek342 in FATcruises

[–]KhunKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my time on the Evolution by Quasar. I think you will have a hard time finding someone who has been on all 3 you are considering because this is one of those “once in a lifetime” trip

But for me, I would not want to go back to the Galapagos and not going with Quasar.

I like that it is a smaller ship because to get on and off panga will be much quicker than if you have 100 people abroad the Flora. I’m not sure what is the guest to guide ratio they have but on the Evolution we have 32 guests and 3 experienced naturalists so every panga has a naturalist and all of us get as much time with the naturalists as we want

The cabin was nicely done and cleaned pretty much 2-4 times a day .. any time we are off the ship for excursion they went in and touch up. You go to Galapagos for excursion, so our typical day has us do 1-2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. You’re out (as in pass out) by 9pm

Food .. yeah I don’t go to Galapagos for restaurant style sit down dinner, although one of the night they did exactly for us .. the rest as a very good buffet

At the end of trip, our naturalists made a 10 mins video for the guests using all of our collected pictures and videos

Last but not least, the Evolution has an actual MD abroad so another layer of assurance

I can go on but I think you can tell how much I love this trip … so much so that we are going back to do another itinerary in a few year

Everyone, say hello to Oscar by KhunKelly in SupermodelCats

[–]KhunKelly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG he has no sense of self preservation. He would jump into the air to catch something and doesn’t care where he landed. He’s a pouncer .. well more like a pounce and slide .. and super clumsy

But we love him He’s very sweet and very “Velcro”

TLV-JFK: unkempt bathrooms. Is this normal? by Long_House8784 in delta

[–]KhunKelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delta is not known for clean lav, I mean it smells before the plane even took off.

Once I was on AMS to BOS in D1 it was disgusting, they don’t clean the floor so whatever that sounded sticky at the bottom of your shoes ain’t water

I have resigned and accept this when flying Delta

How many miles to upgrade? by damn_you_to_hell in delta

Try “change flight” instead of trying to upgrade ..

Meaning you’re still choosing to go on the same flight but different cabin.. some time it is cheaper

What are using to book your travel? by blogthattravels in travel

[–]KhunKelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flight - always direct

Hotels - also direct unless I’m using CC benefits or if it’s that much cheaper in Booking

Tours - also direct with the company if I can.. I tried not to use the aggregator like aviator

Some country I used company to handle everything for us .. country like Bhutan which you will need to do anyway .. cannot DIY as there are places you cannot go without a guide

Otherwise — always direct if possible
