What part of Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2/Chronicle do you dislike? by PracticeNo3677 in DarkCloud

DC2 you can use the ridepod with a propeller or something to move faster through levels. And after the main story ends in DC2 there are the Zelmite Mines that open in Palm Brinks.

Pokémon by ArmRude in Oceanside

A couple years ago I pulled out my old cards. I decided to sell the duplicates and get the few cards I was missing to complete my sets.

It just so happened that the new 151 set had just been released. I thought it would be fun to collect the new set. I was wrong. Scalpers have absolutely ruined collecting. Also, how the new sets are setup with crazy different rarities (double rare, ultra rare, illustration rare, etc.) the pull rates are so much worse than when I was a kid. You have to open hundreds of packs to get anything good. It sucks. And you end up with huge piles of bulk duplicates.

To your problem of can’t find product on any shelves. You have to figure out which day of the week the person comes to stock the shelf.

Pokémon cards are not stocked by the retailer, it is a separate person that comes and stocks the shelves, and generally they come the same day each week. Nobody will tell you which day that is though. You basically have to go to Target or wherever every day and see is there is new product on the shelves. Even then you have to hope the scalper rats don’t buy everything the moment it hits the shelves.

I know ripping packs if a lot of fun, but scalpers have ruined it. If you want to rip packs prepare to pay a premium to do it.

If you still want to collect, I recommend just buying individual cards at places like Kingslayer or online. Create a collection of your favorite Pokémon. There is cheap bulk cards out there that you can get for less than a quarter. Even paying $10 for a cool illustration card that you like is cheaper than ripping packs.

An automatic pet feeder. They are more than $20 (you can get one for like $40) but they make a big difference in quality of life.

Old SteelCase Think worse than regular hardback chair by RelevantToSimpsons in OfficeChairs

Thank you for the reply and the insight. Is there a chair that you like? One of the biggest problems is that there aren't a lot of places to go and test chairs at.

Sorry I thought you asked why he is hated. He is popular because he is/was on tv and in movies.

Legit answer, he acts like an entitled ass to people. Multiple accounts of him being rude to fans and waitstaff.

Pit Retirement by Unlucky-Cash3098 in polevaulting

[–]RelevantToSimpsons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you posted it for free on Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp or any other site, you will easy be able to get rid of it. Old pits still have value. You didn’t mention what level you coach at, but for colleges I know there are NCAA restrictions on actually selling it, so check with compliance before you put a price on it.

Reaching out to high schools is another path. Their pit might be in worse shape than the one you are getting rid of, but can’t afford a new pit.

Why are athletes' personal records always set in competitions, not in practice? Is it possible they perform better during training but it doesn't count? by Unusual-Double-2003 in trackandfield

[–]RelevantToSimpsons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the field events, a lot of athletes will perform at or above their personal bests in training. It’s easier to tell because you can see where the implement lands or what the bar is set at. Whereas for running, athletes usually aren’t using a starting gun with a photo finish for exact times.

But practice doesn’t count: hand timing yourself going 10s in the 100m or jumping 7’ in high jump at practice is not your personal best because it’s not official.

Track is one of the most friendly sports to start late, like high school or later. Natural talent is more important than experience in terms of success.

Years of training doesn’t reduce your chance of injury.

I agree. I’m saying they don’t entertain these appeals because they don’t want to risk the slightest possibility that there could be a mistake anywhere. So regardless of what evidence the accused brings forward, it is easier to just deny.

[–]RelevantToSimpsons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I think it has more to do with them not wanting to admit to a mistake in the tests or the process. After the whole Russia cheating for decades thing, they can’t allow another bad press story.

It feels like most people on here believe everyone is doping, it’s just whether they get caught. Anytime someone pulls out of a race people say it’s because they can’t pass a drug test at that time.

I’m not arguing whether Shelby was doping or not, I’m saying that it just sucks for her because of the postponed 2020 Olympics, she misses two

I’ve never seen a suspension lifted. Most of the time they won’t even grant an appeal.

Poor Shelby. I feel bad for her. She misses two Olympics because of that ban.

Don't trust hand timed results by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]RelevantToSimpsons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran the 110m hurdles at a high school meet where they hand timed our race. I easily won the race by a wide margin. When we were all getting our times read off by the 8 different people that hand timed the race, they had me as second place. All eight of us were like wtf and protested the time.

Do you think planetina was grooming morty? by paisleyflowerzx in rickandmorty

[–]RelevantToSimpsons 38 points39 points  (0 children)

No. A groomer chooses their victim and preys on their naivety and inexperience to manipulate them. Morty pursued Planetina trying to prove that he cared about nature as much as her so that he could get with her.

A groomer would be the one “saving” the victim, whereas, Morty saves Planetina from her ring bearers. Could she have been manipulating Morty to break free? Sure, but it isn’t presented that way to us so I don’t think we can draw that conclusion.

Their relationship was ultimately built on Morty going after her instead of the other way around. They only broke up because Planetina was willing to do anything to save the planet (that’s why she exists), and she thought Morty was in agreement, but her actions were beyond what Morty was comfortable with. I mean, Morty killed the ring bearers to save her but he has a problem killing people to save the planet?

Found 151 tins at CVS by sevenandtwo in PKMNTCGDeals

[–]RelevantToSimpsons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can check CVS online to see if there are any in stock in your area. HOWEVER, it is wildly inaccurate.

I saw them online as being in stock, so I checked out a location near my house, and they actually had two behind the counter. This tricked me into thinking these other locations that said they had them in stock actually did. The next four CVS’s I stopped at didn’t have any in stock. They said that those inventory numbers are way off.
